That will be much needed help. Maybe the defense can show up for this game, giving us a shot to win.

He's starting? There is no way in heck that Dansby is game ready yet.

Rushed or not, a defensive player can get into the action much quicker than an offensive player. If Branch can play this weekend, I fully expect Dansby too and contribute.

Did Green or Pendergast say that Dansby is starting?

Where? (quote)

(If not; what's the point of this thread...)

The guy supposedly has been hobbled by a bad toe, calf, back, slpeen, hangnail, etc. The only thing that is probably in shape on this guy is his Playstation hands.

And I preface that by bringing up all the "experts" statements about the guy's work ethic.

I hope he proves me wrong. But if he starts I say he will be a liability, and the first Seahawks drive will be run right down Dansby's throat.

Yea but thats just an assumption. Nobody knows exactly what hes been doing to get in shape. Hes had at least three days of prctice and must be looking pretty good if the report that hes starting is true. Dansby is one helluva an athlete I wouldnt underestimate him.

Goes back to the old saying about assuming anything.....

Like I stated, I hope he proves me wrong. But even if he did keep in shape, riding a bike, lifting, it is not the same as game speed. He might even make a few of his big plays. But they will attack him over and over until he proves that he's ready to be back on the field. Any half way decent HC would see that and exploit it to the Nth. If not, Holmgren needs to go back to being a school teacher.

Actually, the two things he had surgery on were his pinky and thumb.

IMO ,he is ready to make a statement, to the press, to the coach, to the team. If he is starting it means that he thinks he is ready. This man child is a beast on defense. I think this will be a statement game and the timing is perfect. BEAT SEATTLE ! I don't care by how much hey 7-6 would be cool.

Dansby is twice the player at LB that Pace is. Play him hurt, out of shape or
not walking. Did anyone watch the 'Frisco game? The TD to Vernon Davis was
a blown coverage by Calvin. I have said it before...Pace is a DE, not a LB. He
simply is not quick enough in coverage.

I don't see how anybody could expect our defense to play as well as it did last year without Dansby in the line up.

He's as flashy as Wilson but more solid fundamentally. If he can stay healthy all year, he'll end up on the pro bowl.

Having Dansby in there changes the cards chances for this game from none to slim.
