Florida State men's basketball coach Luke Loucks continues to fill out his coaching staff.
On Tuesday, he is expected to hire Cal's assistant coach Amorrow Morgan to the same position and Chris Kent from the Portland Trailblazers to serve as an assistant and Director of Player Development, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
Morgan completed his second season at Cal. As another respected recruiter, she was known to bring in Jeremiah Wilkinson, ACC's Sixth Man of the Year and member of the ACC All-Rookie team.
Before he was at Cal, he served two seasons at Loyola Chicago (2021-23). He was part of the 2022 team that won the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament and made the NCAA Tournament.
Other previous stints include South Alabama, where he was the associate head coach, Nicholls State, Henderson State, the University of Illinois-Springfield, and Our Lady of the Lake University.
Morgan played guard at his alma-mater Idaho State, where he was a two-time All-Big Sky guard and a three-year captain.
Kent was an assistant coach for the Rip City Remix, an NBA G-League affiliate in North Portland.
Prior to that, he spent a year at USF as the Director of Player Development (2017-18). He also spent five years with the Chicago Bulls (2018-23). Kent earned his M.S. in sports management at FSU in 2017.
