Quick question for you guys. Are there any of you who questioned whether or not the Marcus Pollard TD was actually a TD? I re-watched the game and I'm pretty positive that if "Whiz" had opted to challenge that play, it would have been overturned. Not sure if his booth guys were sleeping but it was pretty obvious that he didn't get both feet down before falling on the end line.

Now it's also pretty obvious that it was in fact a catch and a force out but that's not what was called on the field. And as Kellen Winslow teaches us, if it's not called a force out on the field, it ain't a force out no matter what you see in the replay booth. Is there anyone else who has watched this again or noticed it at that time? Just wondering if anyone else saw it.

We got beat so badly, I really don't think any of us care... It would be a moot point anyway.

If the game outcome had depended on it, perhaps there would be a difference in opinion.

I thought about it at the time--

never did give a good view of his feet during the replay -- I couldnt tell if he got his second foot down prior to being hit and driven out of bounds

This Seattle team and especially the receiving corps have definitely stepped it up big time. What happened to all the receivers who perenially led the league in dropped passes? I miss them. Not only were there very few drops, they were making all the hard receptions as well. :(

I saw it and thought "cheaters", but what can you do. So I had a beer.

Whisenhunt probably figured, "No way I am going to waste a timeout, only to have the official not overturn an obviously wrong call."

j/k

But at the time, I did wonder if Pollard actually got both feet in bounds.
I also wondered if Seattle would have gone for it on 4th down (if the TD was not allowed)? They were only up by 13, with Arizona having scored the last 14 points in the game.

One of the biggest differences between this game and the first game (besides the 5 picks of course) was that, in the first game we were able to put pressure on Hasselbeck and consistently disrupt his rhythm.

In this game - especially being without Adrian and E Green in the secondary - we seemed afraid to mix things up and apply the same kind of pressure because we were afraid of hanging Holt, Celestin, Brown, Antrel etc. out to dry.

As it turned out, either way we were meat.

That's precisely my opinion.

In that particular case, I think Holmy would have kicked. Going by 16 in the 4th would have been the best play I think.

Pollard got one down and got popped just before the second hit. The force of the hit caused Pollard to land on his butt on the end line rather than in the end zone as he would have had he not been touched. To the observer, it should have been ruled a TD by force out but since it was ruled a clean catch with both feet out and no force, I think it would have gotten overturned on review.

SeaChicken, I think you just need to admit you like Cardinal fans more than your own kind. Admit this is the greatest message board around and simply become one of us.

Darrell Jackson plays for San Fran now.

There was also a ton of holding by seattle's offensive line that wasn't called. I think that's what finally got to Dockett.

Oh well, it's over....

You must watch no Cardinal football..like we would win that challenge..HA! Did you see the cleveland game the week before? Obvious plays don't get overturned for the Cards. They walk to the review booth watch and think about what they can say to screw us in the nicest possible way! Its kinda funny how we consistantly get the worst reffing crews in the league!

Basically, the entire TV audience of a typical December Cardinal game hovers somewhere around the membership number of this website.

Personally, I am surprised that the League doesn't use cardboard cutouts of half the officials in order to save money.
