I posted on this topic earlier and after I went and read the ad, my opinion changed dramatically.
Jake did this because he truly wanted to thank the fans, and that is refreshing. It actually made me kind of sad.
I remember draft day when we drafted him, how excited I was. It was the single happiest moment as a Cards fan, happier than the day we won a playoff game (I thought that we would win many with Plummer
)....but it didn't work out.
It's really sad that it didn't. As much as I'm excused of being a Plummer basher, I really did like the guy, and I wished him the best. Losing Jake (not to sound like Tango) is liked getting dumped by that girlfriend that you really liked, but knew it wasn't meant to be.
