Update: Thursday, March 15 at 11:10 a.m. EDT by Alex Kay
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter appeared on Thursday morning's edition of SportsCenter and dropped a huge bomb on fans of the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals.
According to Rotoworld, Schefter said it "does look like" the Broncos and Titans are the two finalists for free agent Peyton Manning.
Manning recently visited both of those teams and became pals with John Elway in Denver and was impressed by Bud Adams offer to make him a "Titan for life".
These teams both have strong offensive lines, decent defenses and are on the cusp of competing with an elite QB.
It's no wonder Manning has most likely narrowed it down to these two choices.

Until he makes his decision, I'm not beliveing anything anyone says. Denver has been the worst, but ESPN has been right behind them in false statements. Schefter has always been one for writing or talking about "HIS" feelings and speculations and stating them as "sources"

In my opinion. The further away he gets from the Denver/Arizona meetings last weekend, the lesser the chance of him signing w/ either club. Unless his agent has been covertly negotiating contracts with these two teams since his visits.

Does anyone know if Peyton's agent accompanied him to Tennessee yesterday?

Is Schefters source PM? He sure never shares the "source" of any of his info. To me it appears he is just guessing like everyone else.

There was a tweet early yesterday that stated the Cardinals were in contact with PM's agent on a contract, but nothing else but the one tweet. It was from Arizona Sports 620.

Still, the waiting game is getting old. Either he wants to be a Cardinal or a prima donna in Denver or Tennessee. Frankly, I don't care anymore.

I mostly agree with the above:

one thing make me nervous: Shefter's agent is..........................Tom Condon...agent to Peyton Manning

Until he signs or Kolb is payed, I'll remain somewhat interested. Luckily, we only have a day to go until this is over.

Shefter also said AZ and DEN were his last visits on Monday, untill an hour later Mort reported Manning was going to visit TENN and MIA.

Shefter is just guessing at this point.

Yup I agree. I've gone from being really, really excited to just not giving a damn what his decision is. If it's with the Cards the one team that gives him the best chance to win, great. If it isn't oh well life will go on and the Cards will still be competitive anyway.

I'm still waiting for a one hour TV special on ESPN, like Lebron James did, where PM announces which team he is choosing. PM may not have intended for this to become a circus but it has become one. I'm so ready for it to be over.

Have to believe Peyton is decent enough to let the Cards know if they are out of contention. He knows our situation and he seems like anything but an ass.

If he hasn't contacted the Cardinals I don't believe we have been eliminated from contention. Which way he is leaning is anyone's guess.

He's poised right now to tick off a large fan base at this rate....it is becoming 'the decision 2.0'

I understand why it seems to fans that the further away we get from his visit the more it seems we're out of the running, but that just isn't so. Manning is just checking out all of his options. Give the man some room--YOU may want it done ASAP, but he has a lot to weigh and it's not in HIS best interest to make a snap decision.

I still think we have a decent chance--If I had to break it down it'd be 30/30/30 for Cards/Broncos/Titans and 10 for Miami.

That is completely unfair. What should he have done? Declared retirement, just to hold secret talks with teams? Made an uninformed decision within the first hour of free agency? Actually retired?

You guys that say you don't care whether he comes here are lying. If you don't think you a lying, then you are lying to yourself. You would not be looking at this board if you didn't care. You would not be taking the time to post on a PM thread. We all care, and I'm pretty sure we all want him, bad.

I agree that the wait is excruciating, but good thing come to those who wait...

Some people, like myself, may simply be Manning-ed out. Right now, I care, but I'm desensitized to the issue. I'm sure soldiers in war don't want to die, but they may not be as excited by the idea that someone is shooting at them.

Also, remember, most of the talk is about PM, so if I want to talk about the Cards, it is PM or nothing.
