As of this moment, Goldy leads the majors in Hits. He's 4th in batting average and 8th in OPS.
Of course, comparing to just first basemen, he's not only #1 in hits, but also OPS, Runs and Doubles...

Absolutely! His high ranking in the NL MVP race last year should help.

But he got a slow start and his power figures are not head and shoulders above many NL 1B. Considering that 1B is a power position at bat, it may hurt him.

But he has been coming on strong lately in that area and will, hopefully, rise above all other NL 1B in the voting.
