Jerry Bruckheimer will produce the live-action/CGI family feature G-Force for Walt Disney Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter. The film marks the directorial debut of visual effects supervisor Hoyt Yeatman, who has worked on a number of Bruckheimer's films.
G-Force follows a group of intelligent animal commandoes working for a government agency trying to prevent an evil billionaire from taking over the world.
The trade says that Yeatman has been developing the project at his newly formed production venture Whamaphram Productions, which is set to produce both computer-generated and animated film projects integrating animated characters into live-action settings.
Yeatman has over fifty film credits including Kangaroo Jack, Armageddon, Mighty Joe Young, Con Air, Crimson Tide and The Abyss for which he won an Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects.
