Gambo on McGrady and Kobe

Gambo said that he talked to Suns last night and they still feel that they're in the McGrady hunt.

He said they also still think Kobe is a very real possibility and that the extra money from the Lakers might not be enough to sway him to stay there.

Gambo said he's talked to some players and they've heard that Kobe still wants to come to the Suns.

Would make sense to acquire a couple of 2nd round picks to fill out the roster.

I couldnt have said it better myself. The guy says one thing one day and then changes it the next and then changes it back again. With all the sh*t he's been putting out there, some of it is bound to come true though.

So what? I was on the ESPN board for about a year and had 1000 posts when I left to join the previous incarnation of this board. The ESPN board is a waste of bandwidth and is virtually nothing but trolls. I know Joe hangs out there as well, what for, I have no idea.

I'm sure he's a nice guy, but 4000 posts on the ESPN board isn't that impressive to me.

You don't need to click on the Troll posts. If you know what to read and what not to read there are some intelligent posters even from other teams offering their opinions.

Dude keep it up man. I dont know why people have their panties in a bunch about this post. I go to the espn boards too and most of it is junk, but every once in a while there is good stuff there.

Well sharkbite is a credible source, if you were reading his posts you would know.

Joe_Mama already tried to get him and "azprepstars" to post on this board.

sharkbite is like GeorgeO'Brien on this board posting all Suns related articles he can find and recapping Arizona Sports Report etc.

my friend was telling me this when i was pissed a couple days ago cause we didn't get mcgrady. he said, have the suns ever said that they wanted mcgrady? i could not say yes, and really everything i thought really came from here/espn/phxsuns.net/etc. Nothing substantiated.

the only difference is the difference between 'unsubstantiated' and 'pure drivel'. ming 76 is pure drivel, aka nobody said it but i'm going to rile up some people. other than that, im sure 99% of what is on this board is incorrect. its almost like, the more you know in relation to this stuff, the less you know, because most of it conflicts with itself.

To be honest I mostly visit the ESPN message board when I get bored. It's not even in the same league as this one as far as quality goes. No doubt about that. There are some very good posters over there. I know, I'm one of them.

I've actually tried to get some of the guys I like over there to come here. I haven't made a general announcement over there however because I worry about attracting some of the less desirables.

That is because I am filtering the quality stuff that is posted on ESPN and add it to the discussions here when it wasn't already posted.

The BBB boards aren't bad. They have more rules, censoring etc than RealGM. It is basically like ESPN without the trolls. It's too bad there are only 5 other Suns fans on that board.

The Suns board is the most civil board on ASFN and the boards are indeed proper places for rumors. Just properly identify them as rumors.

When I am the most negative poster, the posters are collectively positive. Joe Mama and George O'Brien do a great job. As the number of posters here grows, and if the Suns get competive again, splitting off a front page just for the Suns and getting a second writer to help George might make sense.
