Mitch, always enjoy your game analysis. I was at the game and got home late with my ears ringing from all the great crowd noise. Heard the locker room interviews on way home and really impressed with Larry Foote. One thing he said that really impressed me was that they (Cards) have DBs that can totally shut down the opposition. This makes it better for the front seven to make plays.

Speaking of kickoffs, what was your feeling on Ginn last night? At least he did make a big 3rd down grab. Man we're deep at wideout!

The refs need to make their calls earlier in games to establish what they're going to enforce. Make an emphasis early. That call on Jefferson was pure bunk, and almost cost us a shot at this game.

Great game by Foote and Palmer under great pressure.

I think that it's not a good idea for any team to return a kickoff 5+ yards deep in the end zone, unless it's a pure line drive. Our blocking on returns this pre-season and now in game 1 has been poor. The only issue I had with Ginn Jr.was the one where he ran sideways---really tough to get away with in the NFL and it didn't even look like the Cardinals had a wall set up for that return.

You guys were fantastic, Jammer! I think the fans really helped throw Rivers out of sync---the noise was intense!

Worse than Ginn's returns, his body manner just looks half assed. I think he came here expecting to at least be the #3 receiver, maybe he still thinks he should be. Everybody still talks about the valuable lesson of losing a valuable player to returns, but Ginn looked a lot happier and more enthusiastic when he was out there running receiver routes. The fair catches with no one near mixed with the opposite, bringing it out of the enzone 8 yards deep. I don't think he even wants the return job, or at least that what it looked like.

I just don't think he's willing to take that first hit if he can't see it coming. Deep in the end zone he can try and control how he gets hit but at the 30 the guys are on him before he can take a step.

What's up with Arians saying the crowd needs to turn off the noise when the Cards have the ball?

Because they do. I think they were just too jacked up in an overall sense. They were making it difficult for the O to hear when we had the ball.

We out numbered the Charger fans, but they felt the vibe too and pretty loud for their numbers. Arians was saying we have to keep our tickets hometown and birdgang to keep the noise down, it was a ticket jab at us fans... I love this Coach!

I agree. The crowd was great last night but there were still too many enemy fans.

As usual, some fans sold their tickets to Chargers fans. There was a decent turnout of Charger fans but nothing like the Cards. However they make noise when the Cards have the ball. It sure isn't as bad as when the Cards played in Sun Devil Stadium. I would guess that about 10 to 15 % of the fans there were for the Chargers.

You're only allowed to create a 2 man wall these days, so that's part of the issue. Also there was quite a lane opening up on the Ginn return when he went sideways. If he only saw it.

I would have loved to see how the fans there gave it to those clown Charger fans on the way out. Some visiting fans don't know the meaning to the phrase "60 minutes" You'd have thought we were getting blown out by 30 the way some of them were celebrating.

DJ, I don't know what it is, but there are always fans there that seem to scream when we have the ball and want to sit down when we are on defense. I guess they are noobs, but it is hard to believe some can be so clueless about how to cheer at a football game. Almost every single telecast you ever watch in your entire life mentions the noise on defense or being quiet for the offense.

They were loud when we had the ball, and talking much smack in the bathrooms and hallways, but I didn't hear too many on the way out!!

It was massie who let Palmer get stripped blindside, and freeney recovered but #97 made the strip. Massie did not have a good game hope it gets better as he wasn't beat by freeney and we will be facing some good ends!
