Rojas with a great play off the wall to hold them to 1st and 2nd. Now bases loaded with Arenado up, 1 out.

Gallen is fortunate to get through 4 innings and only giving up 2 runs.

But he's at 90 pitches after 4 innings.

Rockies batters show an amazing 12
left on base, batter by batter.

Six left in scoring position with two outs.

Rough outing for Gallen... not a total surprise given that this was his first ever appearance at Coors Field. But, he is a gutty battler and this type of performance will likely be a foundation builder for the youngster.

Flores hits it to the wide open right side. Nice to see someone try to beat the shift.

I said in Post #7 that I would not comment on Torey's lineups . . .

But when I heard Bert say (about Rojas) tonight that Torey said
he believes in giving youngsters a chance, I almost lost the snack
I was eating.

Ask Cron about that. If it has taken Torey this long to learn that,
well, better late than never. Although Rojas playing six positions
plays right into Torey's hands, whereas Cron plays only two --
1B and 3B, but was never given a shot at 3B.

Did you hear that Cron has 3 HR's in the game so far tonight?

He's leading all Minor League players in HR's in only something
like 60 games.

I sincerely hope the D-backs trade him and give him a chance
somewhere else.

9-3 D-backs going to the bottom of the 9th.

D-backs looking to go two games over .500.

Man your rants are exhausting to read day after day... Seriously, just not sure how you can consider yourself a fan of this team. I am not at all suggesting blind allegiance. But holy crap man - you are relentless and sorely misguided... Take a breather. Go find a manager of a team you can respect.
I think the board should take a poll to guess how long it will take before you crap all over Monty Williams too! I swear somewhere in your past you became a scorned wannabe coach...

You're entitled to your opinion, 82, and so am I. Must I say again that it is not personal?

The D-backs are my team and in our community. Which is why I react to this manager's tactics.

And no, I never was a scorned wannabe coach. Rather than making blind accusations,
why don't you just put me on ignore?

BTW, I have high expectations for Monty Williams, now that the Managing Partner evidently
got the message to count his billion dollar windfall and let his people do their job.

Go D-backs! Go Suns! Go Mercury!

I'll put you on ignore... should've done so a while ago. But, FWIW, I do believe you were once a wannabe coach at some non-professional level.
Anyone who routinely questions the capability of a now proven winning MLB Manager, who has proven his ability to win and compete under some of the most trying circumstances in the game today, is tremendously biased in a way that demonstrates a lack of understanding of the game in the 21st century, not to mention a clear sign of wannabe-ism...

I have no idea what will become of the Dbacks and Torey over the next 3-5 years. But I do feel quite confident that this team, at the highest executive levels, is being directed in a very positive direction. And at the lower levels of Manager and coaching, the team is in incredibly solid hands. Will that bring about a few post-season appearances over the next 5 years? A championship? Most likely not... not when the payroll discrepancy is as large as it is and will likely continue to be. Which of course, makes Torey's performance all the more impressive - a fact that continues to remain outside of your ability to comprehend.
My gut is that Torey is going to be here in the desert for many years to come. Just not sure how you're going to cope with that...

Oh, 82. I post about the D-backs and you post about me. That's your problem.

I told you that I was not a wannabe coach and you're still questioning my word?

My background is management and I tend to respond from that perspective.

I'm not going to put you on ignore. But I am not going to take you seriously.

There is no reason for you to respond.
