We are not that far off from an AAA team lineup today. Our highest batting avg in today’s lineup is .270

As Steve just mentioned, if the D-backs lose one more game,
they'll be eliminated from the Wild Card.

The sponsor who has their name mentioned every time the
Wild Card standings is mentioned isn't going to be happy. :)

And Lamb's .197 at this moment is, except for our pitcher, the lowest. That's "A" ball!

By comparison, the Cardinal's pitcher Wainwright is at .167.

Jake "Mendoza" Lamb! Why is he still getting starts?

He won’t be on the team next year I think

Rojas singles in Leyba ...
Escobar singles in Dyson ...
Lamb with a sacrifice fly.

Yay, producing runs.

1-run game going to the top of the 6th.

The game has been in the hands of relievers, on both sides, after 5.

BB says that the rookie Rojas is hitting .233 because
he is trying to hit every pitch out of the park.

He has become the everyday left fielder.

He started off well. Where are the coaches?

I guess it's irrelevant if Peralta is back in LF
next season.

A solo HR in the top of the 8th gives the Cardinals an insurance run. 7-5.

Duplantier, pitching the top of the 9th has loaded the bases
with no one out. And a run scores on a sac fly.

As with the case I have been making for Cron, Duplantier
came up as a starting pitcher. Sitting in the bullpen is a
whole different skill set.

If you are going to change a player's position, do it in
the Minor Leagues, not in the Majors.

This goes back to Torey's announcement that developing
players is not his priority. We've seen the results.

And now it's 9-5 on a passed ball. Only one out.
Scott is pitching.

Long fly ball advances both runners to 3B & 2B.

Lower third of the order coming up for the D-backs in the
bottom of the 9th down by 4 runs.

And a leadoff HR to the opposite field by Ahmed. 9-6.

Carson Kelly draws a walk.

Cron was sent up to pinch hit, but first a pitching change.
The St. Louis closer comes in.

Cron goes back to the bench for Vargas. Shallow fly ball.
Dyson hits into a force out and steals 2B. 2 outs. Rojas up
and gets an RBI double to make it 9-7. Up comes Escobar
as the tying run at the plate.
