We need to find a real closer for 2021.

There were plenty of comments a year ago about Archie's nail-biting job as closer.

He turned most saves into an adventure. ASFN knew it, but evidently not the D-backs.

Are we going to be saying the same thing a year from now?

The specifics are that Archie is a one-pitch thrower. A fast ball.

Not a Major League curve. Not a Major League changeup.

It is his "beard" and outgoing personality that keeps him in the role.

He has reached the point where his success depends upon luck.
