Dismantling some first and second place teams on this road trip so far. Pleasant surprises. (At least they were first and second place before we got to them).

No Peralta or Jones in the lineup. That's two of their three big bats.

It is a day game following night games, but are they both injured?

Greinke the hitter is going to have to help Greinke the pitcher.

If weather permits playing the game.

Steve & BB said yesterday that, if they could start the game,
but expect it to not continue due to rain, they might not
start Greinke to pitch a couple of innings and waste a start.

Adam Jones is out of the lineup again today. He came off the bench yesterday after Torey Lovullo said he was a little "banged up" from Tuesday. He's available today, but Lovullo thought one more day of rest "would be very helpful."

He's told Jones to be ready for the weekend.

If rain is in the forecast all day, they should postpone the game. It's a travel day and would not be fair if they got home late.

That is how the stadium has looked during the games so far this series as well. Kind of surprising for a team contending thus far in its division.

Walker leads off with a double, Marte singles him to third. Swihart grounds out to second, scoring Walker. Unfortunately Murphy and Ahmed couldn't get Marte home from third

All that Greinke talk of being washed up by posters after the LA game is crazy. I've been saying he's going to be Greinke and go on a huge run and boy has he. Very lucky he's still our ace glad to have him. He's a freaking machine

I was one of those. Not washed up, but not an ace. 'Happy to say that I was wrong.
Especially with Robbie not pitching like an ace yet.

I expected Greinke would be one of the hitters today, but a triple. And the D-backs
hitters roll along. A 5-run lead.

Greinke is at 94 pitches and is up to lead off the top of the 7th. Of course there is
no need to pinch hit for him. But will he be out to pitch the bottom of the 7th?

So he pitched the 7th. At 105 pitches. Will they try to stretch him another inning?

Steve said it looked like Torey told him he'd bat if his turn came around, but
he wouldn't be out to pitch the bottom of the inning, despite pitching a two
hit shutout.

He also mentioned that both of Christian Walker's doubles have been to the
opposite field. That is part of his success. Just like Goldy's.
