I am really interested in seeing Childress guard Kobe. I figure with Childress' agility and length Kobe would have problems. If I was coaching tonight, I'd try to get that matchup just to see the outcome.

It works best for the league's script. The Suns were the last Western Conference obstacle in the Lakers' way path season, the teams have a history of playoff clashes, and the cities are fairly close together. So there's sort of a constructed rivalry there, even if the Lakers have usually had the upper hand. It's good for the Lakers' image if they can get a little extra edge in any game that the pundits will regard as "important."

I recall that we played the Lakers twice last year when it was the 2nd game of a back to back. Then we caught them when they had a second game on a b2b and spanked them. Of course the pundits claimed that the Lakers were tired and excused them, but for us no mention of our game the night before.

Rajan Rondo has 24 assists in the game so far against the Knicks.

Turkoglu looks like he has tar on his sneakers.

Frye.....rather than boxing out Gasol and getting the rebound he loses his position.

I'm glad I don't play with the Suns, I'd get suspended for beating Frye to a pulp.

Suns down 28-27 after the 1st quarter. Suns shooting 50% with 2/2 3 pointers, Laker shooting 46% with 1/4 3 pointers. :)

Suns and Lakers have both committed 4 turnovers (Nash with 2).

Suns with 1 offensive rebound, Lakers 4.

Suns have hit 3/3 free throws, Lakers have hit 1/1 free throws.
