D-back start 1-3, following the 2 blowout exhibition losses at Dodger Stadium.

Torey with an 0-5 start, with the lone victory by his Bench Coach.

And the team listless until after he got ejected.

Torey is clearly the problem. I would even consider bringing in Matt Williams to stop the bleeding. This team is lifeless with Torey at the helm.

Putting the loss of lives and the pain to many due to the coronavirus aside . . .

It is going to put off Torey Lovullo being fired early this season, when MLB
has to shut it down, and Torey will buy time.

The question is whether Kendrick and Hazen will have the gones to make
a decision before the start of Spring Training next year . . . if COVID-19 is
indeed under control by then.

The fate of the D-backs is nothing compared to the fate of the American
people going forward. But it was nice to have hopes for them for a short
time.

Unfortunately, the Suns, playing in the bubble, don't look any better.
Especially with their #1 pick continuing to play so passively.

Once the Mercury get accustomed to their many new players, I look for
excellence from them and the enjoyment of rooting for them in
competing for a 4th Championship.

Going from worse to bad is not good enough. Matt Williams had no control over the clubhouse.
He has shown no people skills.

We can do better. Please let's set our sights higher. Management ability AND aggressiveness,
rather than either-or.

One of Torey's biggest problems in a nutshell:

It takes a special kind of mentality and approach to be a utility player, one that is antithetical to being a regular...and yet Torey is forcing everyone on the team to be utility players.

I read on the Suns ASFN board that he is still very tentative when close to the basket.

But he does put up a good '3' this year. Just what they need. Now he is 23' from the basket.

Excellent point! Just as it takes a different mentality to be a leadoff hitter, even without the Pitcher hitting. The lower
OBP's still hit at the bottom of the order. And, as you've commented, our 2nd best RBI guy, Ketel, is batting leadoff.

Getting on base is important, but the hitter who can drive them in is worth a pot of gold. And our LOB performances
are a key to the D-backs disappointing records, year after year. How could Torey not see that? Results talk!

i see almost no way Torey gets fired this season. In fact, bold prediction says not a single manager loses their jobs after this season by firing.

big men usually take a long time to develop, I still think he will be a solid big man, he has a ton of skill .

no he won’t, but if the full season happens next year and we suck again they will fire him .
