Are you starting to see why it is that I don't like Torey as a Manager? (I LOVE him as a bench coach, just as I loved Igor Kokoskov as an assistant. Both are meant to be assistants who give emotional support to the players, not leaders who have to make the tough decisions, even if it hurts players' feelings.) And in terms of players' feelings, we need to prioritize that of the young guys like Duplantier, not cater to the egos of subpar veterans like Godley. Another fault in common between Torey and Igor.

Duplantier should have started today. Godley should have been DFA.

Some changes needed in the lineup. Flores is gonna have to platoon at 1B, imo. Walker having trouble with RISP and pitchers are figuring out his weaknesses now.

Ironically, a platoon is not the answer. Walker is doing much better against right-handed pitchers than lefties. Right up there with Peralta, the lefty hitter.
