Regardless if Stoudemire and Diaw get suspended, the Suns put themselves in a situation where they had to win 3 out of 4 against the Spurs.... just wasn't going to happen.

This series was lost with game 1, they put their backs agains the wall immediately and they never had the upper hand in this series. Not by the records and not on the court

I disagree, because we went into San Antonio and got home court back. Had we not done that, then I'd agree with you. Stern handing them game 5 is what gave them home court again and the series.

Yes, that is correct. It took the Suns going on a miracle 12-1 run to beat the Spurs in Game 4 as well.

They got home court back, but didn't get momentum back. Home court didn't serve them any good because they lost the next game. Had they won game 5 then everythings a moot point, and I agree with you, we're playing a game 7

I agree with Ryan. The game 1 loss set the Suns on their heels for the rest of this series. It could've been 3-1, and we'd be talking about game 7 at worst.

It's amazing how history just repeats itself with this team. We've had so many killer losses on our home floor.

You don't lose a series in game 1, that's absurd. The Suns lost home court advantage and then won it back.

The turning point was when that cornholio Bob Horry checked Nash. The good vibe of that stunning win on the road in Game 4 was erased as soon as the TV people started talking about it.

David Stern won't be welcome in Arizona for a long time (especially at the local restaurants). It's amazing to me how one can make that decision, and act like a total prick in defending the decision.

Good luck Spurs. I hold no ill will to anyone but Horry. I hope his tears the **** out of his ACL.

It's all about momentum.... the Suns won 1 game on their home court. You get put on your heals and there is no room for mistakes

They took back homecourt after game 4. What's your point? If the Suspensions didn't occur, would they not have had momentum?

Suns blew out Spurs in game 2. After Spurs had the split right?

That was fine with the Spurs, they did what a road team had to do, split the series and get home court back. They could have lost by 100 points and it wouldn't have changed the series

Exactly. I just hope the Suns don't blame it all on the suspensions and stay the course without accepting responsibility for losing to the Spurs.

My point is, they never held momentum... The Suns never proved they could hold home court. The Spurs were never put on their heals and into a must win game. Game 5 was not a must win game for the Spurs as much as it was for the Suns.... The Spurs lose they go home to tie it up, the Suns lose they face elimination on the road, and you saw what happened

And then protect home court. They didn't do that though. This series was even until game 5 debacle.

We shouldn't have lost game 1 but it is ridiculous to say we lost the series with that game. And I disagree that we would have lost game 5 even with Amare and Diaw.

Home court didn't mean squat in this series. Everyone knew SA was going to steal a game. And, everyone knoew PHX was capable of getting one right back. Both teams are just too good to to let the visiting court affect them.

Game 5 was the series (with or without Amare). Asking a tired PHX team to go back to SA and steal another game was wishful thinking. Too bad it Nash took 3 quarters to get his legs.

The Suns never had momentum because of the suspensions. They would've had it if not for the suspensions. I'm not blaming this on the NBA or anything, but that's the truth. Going home with a full squad after beating SA on the road and getting back homecourt advantage would've been huge. Without the suspensions, the Suns put themselves in a great position to win the series.

Yeah, because the suspension had no affect? Honestly, have you ever touched a ball in your life?

The Suns have to do that better if they ever want to win a title. Even short-handed in game 5, they still let it slip away. That game was just as winnable as game 1 was.

Was Diaw tired in game 6? He did nothing. Amare was killing tonight and it wasn't enough as other stood and watched. Spurs could have beaten them in 5.

Honestly, the Suns had what it takes to beat the Spurs. The problem was not the refs, Stern, dirty play or whatever. The problem: Mike D'Antoni. Nash sucked tonight because he was exhausted. D'Antoni got outcoached.
