Most so called football experts predicted us to be 1 & 1 at this time. The record is correct but the scores scary as we just beat the Rams and got blown out against the Falcons. The bottom line though is that we are 1 & 1 and face a very winnable Raider team for our home opener. It really sucks that our first two games were on the road for the home opener for our opponents, but that is the breaks.

We really need to win the Raider game regardless of the score. IMO if we lose its going to be a long season, while a win can hopefully turn things more positive.
This will be a test for the team. We will know a lot more about the real character of the team after this game.

I have officially crossed over to the dark side. If we had a QB that was better than any of the starters in the UFL I would have hope. I think the Cards lose a close one at home to Oakland and the reality of the season will become crystal clear at that point.

If we lose look out. Beating the Raiders and still looking bad will probably be the last time all year we are over .500.

If we lose to the freaking Raiders at home, Max Hall should start the remainder of the season.

Not on the dark side yet. But I think your prediction on the game might be right.

Bingo. We barely beat a 1-15 team. When we go up against a legit contender, we have our asses handed to us. Now, we're going to face OAK at home, who also just barely edged out the Rams.

Either way, I think it's a nail biter.

I think we're in trouble regardless if we win the Raiders game or not. No quality QB, still suspect defense...spells trouble to me.

While I am still stuck on stupid (from what I saw today) trying to figure out how DA got here, if he tanks the home opener (he will) he would lose the respect of everybody and they mama.

We were in trouble when Wiz and the FO bungled the offseason.

But, but, but Wiz took the Cards to the Super Bowl so he can do no wrong. He gets a lifetime pass. He still hasn't shown that he knows anything about player personnel decisions. He hasn't drafted well, cut a 2009 2nd rounder, cut a 3rd rounder out of training camp a few years back. He makes comical FA moves like signing McFadden only to get rid of him a year later.....and did I mention he made a complete mockery of the 2010 preseason with his self inflicted QB controversy? Other than that he has been so good that no one can question anything he does. He is a genius.

I think he has drafted better than people give him credit for. He has not drafted any superstars, but he is getting more out of his picks than Denny Green ever did during his tenure in AZ. DG seemed very boom or bust to me. Other than that I agree with you. You can't mismanage an offseason any worse than the Cards did this past year.

We won't lose next week. We may even win big. Having been embarassed today, the D will be significantly better next week. The problem is that our offense may only be capable of maxing out at 21 pts. Beating Oakland will not necessarily resolve the issues this team has, although it may help. Our OL looks pathetic, Our DL looks lazy, our WR's look average at best & our QB is a has-been. The OL needs reps, the DL needs to be dogged (I'm sure they will hear Whiz loud & clear this week), the WR's need confidence (except Whiz). The problem is at QB. I'm not sure he can be anything other than what we've seen. We need the OL to get better & quick. Beanie needs to get his ass on the field & start producing.

Sorry, meant Fitz, not Whiz

Early line has Arizona -4 but I think that's more symptomatic of playing a beleaguered team at home than anything.

It is key because if we lose to them, at home, it will show we are a bottom-tier team. The $64 question at that point is how would Whisenhunt justify some of his moves, such as starting Anderson, and how the team responds.

A victory is key for me to not be taunted by any Raiders' fans. Even if it is as indirect as me having to watch them celebrate.

IF we somehow win the Raiders game, and spilt SD and NO, then there is hope for the rest of the season. I just don't see us beating either SD or NO.

The Raiders are in a similar situation to us in that they made a big commitment to a new QB and are now not sure he's the guy. Cable isn't talking but Gradkowski already said he expects to start against us and will be disappointed if he doesn't. Campbell says he has no idea, he was surprised he got benched but was supportive of the move since it worked.

Quietly Darren McFadden is taking advantage of Michael Bush being hurt and has looked good.

Defense is up and down, Titans ripped them, Rams not so much.

For me the fun thing is Asomugha against Fitz.
