They're fine with losing, it seems. They're close but no one is calling each other out, which was done during the Finals run. This team is a mess. The last thing I want to hear as a fan is how much the players like each other and how losing is tough but they try to keep each other's spirits up. Be miserable, show me you care. If you don't care then I feel foolish for caring about you.

Unfortunately, the Suns are not a good team playing bad, but rather a poorly constructed team that doesn't play defense or offense with any degree of competency. Also, they don't show any signs of having a heart. They should hate losing.

The Suns last three losses to Indiana, Detroit and Denver has changed my perspective. It's hard to see any trade fixing the team.

It's sad because it didn't have to be this way. The Suns look like a band of mercenaries after the Durant trade. Actually they are except for Devin Booker.

Any trade now is only likely to slow the bleeding. Worse yet, as I see it, James Jones and Mat Ishbia not only destroyed the championship hopes of the team that went to the Finals, but for the foreseeable future as well.

Where do the Suns go from now?

If I were the Suns owner, I'd hire the best GM money can buy and listen to him. I don't trust the decisions coming out of the front office anymore.

If Nurkic could be traded, the Suns would likely have to attach an asset to make it happen or maybe take on a longer term contract.

It would be dumb to trade Nurkic for him. Allen might be too much also. Finney-Smith is a tweener and we need someone who can actually bang inside for rebounds and protect the rim.
But it fits in perfectly with J. Jones' roster building. His perfect NBA team is quite literally 12 James Jones clones plus (grudgingly) one center and (maybe) a PG.
