Kolb say all you want he didn't make any stupid turnovers, threw the ball away, rushed when coverage was tight, stepped up in the pocket, made a HUGE rushing TD, in a game even Kurt Warner got throttled in playing early on the road in NE ! IMO we are not giving him enough credit!

Lots of game balls to hand out on defense... but, Bobby Massie needs to be first in line for the offense! He had a great game today!

Without a doubt. A rookie pressed into a starting role and coming through two weeks in a row. Looks like the Cards made a real smart pick with this guy.

My game balls

1. Offense: got to give it to Kolb again. Few mistakes. Good rush for 1 1st down and the TD. At times when he went out of pocket though he was back to his old ways. Nice Kolb/Robets combo in end zone.
other nominess: Heap and Housler (that catch made a huge difference)

2. Defense: hard to name one. But I will give it to Rhodes. Nice break up on a sure TD and 2 pts. Saved the game. Also Gronk had to hold him on the late TD that wasn't counted.

3. ST: better than Seattle game on limiting Pats returns. Good kicks offs by feely. Ball goes to Groves for blocking the punt that set the an excellent position for the 1st TD.

I for one have been saying that all we need is solid QB to win enough games to get to the playoffs. Well that almost came true last year but the D took half the season to get it going.

Kolb had some big misses today, Heap down the seam in the 1st half and the slip screen to Hypen in the 2nd half jump to mind.

The fumble he had was such a non factor since the D came out and completely had his back. The Pats generated negative yards on that drive.

Entire team gets a team ball and I agree with Jeff G., the fans get one as well.

Game balls to all the dopey NE fans who wore red to the game.

I say give them to the fans that left after the failed 2 pt conversion then came back after the fumble just to watch the missed FG.

I'm going to add Gay to this. He had some timely and nice passes defended. Made some solid tackles as well.

I get what you are saying, but 15 - 27 for 140 and a touch + one rushing doesn't get a game ball from me. He missed two easy passes, Heap for a touchdown and LSH for a first down completion. We still were inconsistent on offense. I'm not trying to say Kolb didn't help us win today, but playing good enough not to lose just doesn't earn you a game ball in my book.

I would give it to the entire defense. They shut it down today, and played great. They harassed Brady enough to keep him uncomfortable, tackled very well, and did not make big penalties in pass coverage.
