Leinart has looked great on this drive out of the endzone. Just real solid not forcing anything and just taking his time.

Didn't like that play on 4th down, I would like to see Leinart run a bootleg every now and then to change things up

I think Leinart has looked well so far, much better than this time last year.

Why kick a FG at the end of the half? Does Rackers need that practice? No! Give Leinart a chance to toss it into the end zone.

EDIT: VV All the more need for practice.

Gift pass interference call and field goal to end the half. 3-3.

Go Cards! :D

Probably a make up call for the sh---y officiating in the Super Bowl, or the 14 missed blocks in the backs on Harrison's 100 yard INT return in the Super Bowl.:bang:

Or just for not calling PI on Polamalu on the long pass to Breaston earlier in the first half.

The gap between Leinart and BSP is huge tonight. Leinart did miss high on a couple balls initially, but then settled down and led the offense well. He was patient and saw the field well. BSP has struggled to get anything going, has made some poor throws, and also made some poor decisions. BSP does appear to have a stronger arm then Matt, but Matt looks far better as a QB tonight.

Don't kid yourself, there is just as much of a gap between Warner and Leinart. I'm not sure that Leinart has the confidence to lead this team if Warner goes down. Leinart needs to be able march the team downfield and score. Right now, the Steelers bench is outplaying our bench. And I agree, BSP is a poor third string at best.

Matt looked good after he shook off a little rust.

Looks a lot better this year than he ever has IMO, if you watch his mechanics it's a ton better.

BSP beating Matt out was always a thinly disguised motivational tool, the disguise is now taking on heavy amounts of water.

I have not been a member of the Garvin fan club thus far, and I am generally not a believer in keeping a guy who can't contribute in any area except as a return man. That said, Garvin could be a VERY special return man.

How am I kidding myself when I didn't even mention Warner's name? My post had absolutely nothing to do with the gap between Warner and Leinart. Where did you pull that from?

He's good.

I want to see him running against starting talent, but he could be a ST monster.

And the "gap" between Leinart and Warner isn't as big as RonF is trying to make it. It DEFINITELY isn't remotely as big as the gap between Matt and Saint Freaking Pierre. Don't kid yourself, Ron.

I thought the defense looked good, which is my main focus this season. I have no worries about this offense, but the defense can't allow that many points this year. They looked pretty good. Ousting Clancy will turn out to be a very good thing, IMO.
