Skelton has a LONG ways to go...very inconsistent. Not that the guy in front of him is the model of consistency either.
This would be a nice place to call a fake Punt...why not? trailing on the road around midfield, 2 yards for a first, clearly out of contention...why not fire up the players (and fans too)?
A lot of his incompletions today came on just ditching the ball under pressure. The guy infront of him takes those plays and turns them into 10 yard sacks.
Our line stinks but Skelton gives us a chance to sustain drives on occasion because he does no consistently put them in situations like 2nd or 3rd and 20.
But he certainly is rough around the edges. Some plays he is making great reads on hot routes, other plays he gets time to throw and doesnt see a guy down field, and his accuracy could and should improve.
