Those late game meltdowns earlier this season are now beginning to turn in our favor.

That was the funnest 4th quarter in a LONG time!

Oh, and Fitz is still a fricking beast. Wouldn't trade him for ANY WR in the league.

Dont you feel stupid now.

No, not really. I don't have an issue with Skelton -- like others have been saying he's very young/raw and there's a lot of good and bad. I complimented Skelton on several great throws today, and my comments were more toward the Kolb haters than Skelton himself. I think Skelton has a lot of potential, but we invested heavily in Kolb and he's going to get every chance to succeed before we give up on him.

Skelton is fortunate that the defense showed up. It seems like they have a tendency to show up when he is at qb. Go Cards!

Defense played awesome. Skelton made some "rookie" type mistakes, but played clutch down the stretch. I don't know what to tell Kolb, Skelton looked like a man back there, bad decisions and all.

What's the deal with the Eagles not having Aso on Fitz much of the time? I thought that was a bit confusing.

Fitz: 7 for 146 and 2 TD's.

That's what we need more of. Fitz was a monster, an absolute beast this game.

Skelton makes some mistakes but is clearly much superior to Kolb with a great poise and some really nice throws. Do you think Kolb would have gotten the same results?

Skelton should get rest of the season.

I'm actually surprised at how much touch Skelton has on some of those passes. Even earlier in the game, couple passes to Roberts, he put nice touch on them.

The QB controversy that is headed the Cards way is going to be wicked.

Skelton should get rest of the season.

I think they both need a ton of development before either can be a guy who can lead this team where we all really want them to go. So the question then becomes who do you develop - the guy you invested heavily in with both compensation and pay or the 5th round pick? I think Skelton has a ton of upside and would not have been upset had we gone after a Hasslebeck/Bulger type if the rationale was that we really wanted to develop him for the long-term. But, that's not what we did, and I just don't see the team giving up on Kolb's development this early. I think he'll get the rest of this season, a full training camp, and many games next year until it is clear he is not the guy.

The Kolb vs. Skelton debate is going to be a fun debate for the fans, but I'd be shocked if the team is even going to have that debate internally.
