Just saw some pics of I-10 and looks like flooding has drained and they are now able to tow cars off...Might be cleared up by game time. :)

100 year flood. Most rain on any day in PHX history since we started measuring in the 1880's

My dad texted a couple of hours ago saying that he was thinking about not going. Too far, too much traffic, etc., etc.

I think that's nonsense and encouraged him that if the rain stopped by 2 it'd be fine with the late start. But there are thousands of fans who essentially already cancelled. I'm very concerned with how tonight's optics are going to go.

So many people stayed home today. Might be the best rush hour traffic we have seen on a game day ever.

I am not worried about how it looks on TV.

I just hope people will show up and be loud to help the defense.

The field was inside as of Saturday. No reason not to play.

Fair enough, but I don't think the NFL or ESPN wants to play in front of an empty stadium, and the Cards have to transport 100 dudes from Tempe (where the team gathers and the team buses come from, I believe) to Glendale.

Don't know where the Chargers team buses leave from, but I know that the Raiders in the past have liked to stay at the Hilton next to Fiesta mall.

The Astros once cancelled a game because flooding in Houston made it impossible for fans to get to the ballpark.

yep. Traffic wasn't as bad as I expected seeing as a lot of people just stayed home today.

Just got back from lunch and things have already started to dry out some. Shouldn't be that much of an issue getting to the ball park. Might be easier with everyone who didn't head to work today and will many schools closed.

It depends on where you are. I know Tempe and overall the southern portion of the valley got hammered, but in South Scottsdale, which isn't far from Tempe, it wasn't any worse then the 2nd or 3rd worst storm of any year. I've seen much worse here.

It's been a weird monsoon. Most of it has just gone right around us. Some areas get pelted, and we don't see a drop. Or they get hard, and we get a five minute sprinkle that is dry a few minutes later. Up until a bit into August we literally had no monsoon except for a couple of five minute sprinkles.

The whole measurement thing is kind of dicey. You can have 2-3-4 inches one place, but 1/4 inch at the airport, and officially it's not a big rain. I'm assuming this time it pelted Sky Harbor, and that's why it's a record.

The whole valley got wet, but it wasn't record bad in most areas. Only in some.

I heard earlier this morning that there was a chance of another similar storm happening around 4pm...

Hopefully that doesn't happen or else we might be playing Tuesday Night Football.

I looked at the future cast and it's clear all the way till 5pm. Didn't look like there was anything major coming after that.

Weather.com has 40 percent chance for 6pm-9pm hour (so 10pm), for my zipcode.

85305 is the stadium's zipcode and weather.com shows 6pm-8pm (so 9pm), same 40 percent.

So from Glendale to Scottsdale something is expected for that timeframe. But then again when I checked a few hours ago it was saying 10 percent through tomorrow morning. Who knows.

traffic is going to be a NIGHTMARE!!!

It always is! The last 2 Monday night games I have gone to. It took almost 2 hours from the 60 to the stadium! That was ridiculous. Today, I hope we get there alot earlier and avoid most of the traffic.

So you can get to the game, you just won't be able to get home! PERFECT! :p

I think they knew which direction was more important to clear first.

Took them about 4 hours to do westbound. Eastbound should be open before the game is over.
