Phoenix Suns (1-2) @ Oklahoma City Thunder (4-0)

Game 4 for Phoenix. New Year's Eve.

C: Marcin Gortat ... Kendrick Perkins
PF: Channing Frye ... Serge Ibaka
SF: Grant Hill ... Kevin Durant
SG: Jared Dudley ... Thabo Sefolosha
PG: Steve Nash ... Russell Westbrook

The Thunder are 4-0 coming in. This will be the first tough opponent of the season and it's coming on the road on the second night of a back-to-back while the Thunder got the day off yesterday. With the Suns offense still very much in disarray, this could get ugly.

I guess we will find out something about the Suns developing defense and where it needs to be. IMO, the offense will arrive but just when, I don't know. This should be a good litmus test for the Suns if nothing else.

The Suns defense will get the test against the best team in the NBA.

I hope Nash isn't guarding Westbrook. Jarret Jack was breaking Nash's ankles and Nash played 36 minutes yesterday.

Dudley on Westbrook, Nash on Sefolosha, Hill on Durant.

But the biggest favtor will be Shannon Brown vs James Harden. In years past we never had anyone athletic off the bench to guard Harden but now let's see if Brown can be the on to stop Harden who always has a day to remember against us.

I bet more players have had career games against the Suns than any other team which is why I enjoyed the Suns holding NO to a franchise low shooting %.

I haven't looked at tonight's spread. Are we favored?

Probably not. OKC is undefeated and is looking a lot like the best team in the NBA with Miami.

Through the first half, the Suns are shooting 39% on mostly jump shots. Thunder are shooting 64% on mostly layups and dunks.

I seriously dont think Rick Welts was the only gay person assosciated with this franchise.

When is Alvin Gentry going to come out of the closet? Its pretty obvious him and Frye either are in a relationship or he has a huge crush on Frye. No other reason for Morris to not start over Frye.
