Good to see the D-backs score efficiently.

Versus all-or-nothing solo home runs.

Just as the last game, a single, triple and 2-run HR
account for the scoring so far.

As I commented last game, whether Lovullo has
seen the light or the players have taken it upon
themselves, good for them.

With Gallen at 87 pitches with one out in the 6th
and runners on 1st & 2nd, Lòpez is up in the pen.
And a double play ends it.

So you want the players to ignore their coaches? Would you have been ok with those you managed in your work life to completely ignore you?

Why are you turning a positive into a negative generalization?

The D-backs started showing less "lift" and more scoring
following a players-only meeting. It was announced on TV!

And, as also quoted, Torey had told Steve and BB that he
was starting Lamb with an .050 batting average because
"he likes players who hit the ball into the air".

As Bill Murray said, "That's the fact, Jack!"

I enjoy the change. C'mon, AZCB, enjoy the positive.

The approach has changed recently and we're finally
winning some games. You can't argue with success.

The D-backs load the bases with no out in the 6th.

Walker with a high 30--foot popup.

And Calhoun, running outside the baseline hits into a DP.

It's still 4-0 going to the top of the 7th (final) inning.

López in for the "save".

The nightcap will start 45 minutes after the end of this
game.

Crichton in for the final out with runners on 1st & 2nd.

And the D-backs win the Friday opener!

Gallen had 10 strikeouts in his 6 innings.

Glad to see Gallen has apparently rebounded from having falling off a cliff in that stretch of starts.

Gallen looks so nerdy on the mound, where he wears his glasses.

Maybe that works to his advantage.

Our 7-8-9-2 part of the lineup in the second game are hitting .147, .182, .093 and .059.

'Hope they can put together some hits . . . and some more runs.

D-backs load the bases with no one out in the 1st.

The Freight Train singles in two. D-backs lead 2-1.

The Rockies pitcher is making his first Major League start.

Pavin Smith walks to load the bases again, with Ahmed coming up.

The Rockies pitcher is not ready for a Major League start.

Another run scores on a force out and it's 3-1 D-backs.

'Sure is nice to manufacture runs and not play from behind.

This is the third double header in the D-backs history.

And a bloop opposite field single makes it 4-1. Still one out.

A walk and the bases are loaded again. There is action in the
Colorado bull pen.

The light hitting Jon Jay whiffs. Locastro comes up for the
second time here in the bottom of the 1st.

Locastro with a 2-run single.

Santo, the Rockies rookie pitcher, comes out after 2/3 of an inning.
I feel sorry for the kid. And it's not even Coors Field.

The Rockies bobble a grounder. Bases are loaded again.

Walker with a fly ball to CF and the bases are left loaded.

6-1 D-backs. With six innings to go.
