Gannon may be cut by raiders. That is a guy I would like to see the Cardinals sign to compete with McCown or back him up. It will never happen though becuase the Cardinals would not be willling to pay his salary.

Vikesfan, I have heard that Warner may be headed to the Giants as a back up and Couch may be headed for the Packers to be a back-up. Those are two guys who see themselves as starters and are willing to sign as back ups.

Situation of circumstance, where else can they go to start. Warner will most likely be the starter in NY for at least the first half of the year.

Also the Oakland GM already said they are not going to cut Gannon, and take him into camp to compete with Collins.

I wouldn't want Gannon. After Blake and Emmitt, I think we all have reason to doubt the quality of old veterans coming to the Cardinals. Like the rest of the team's changes this offseason, we want a young QB (that Greene is putting everything into)- not an old one. Just an opinion.

Sorry I don't see this happening. Gannon and Coach Green didn't get along very well and I don't think Gannon wants to be a backup.

If he is cut he's going to Tampa Bay

IMO Cards are set at qb with McCown the starter, King the backup and Navarre the third string qb. No one else will be signed unless there is an injury.

Gannon has a weak arm. Gannon played lousy last year. Gannon played well because of a system, teams figured out how to defense that system. Gannon is not a team guy which is why DG let him go way back when. No chance on this one dude.

Yea sign him then bring in testaverde as his back up. While you are at it dig up Unitas and prop him up with a clipboard on the sidelines.

To quote my new favorite commercial -- "No! No! No! Wrong!" I don't want any quarterback that old. Experience is one thing, but I'd take a young, raw guy over a 40-year-old one with experience.
