Gasol went down with a bad ankle sprain. Lakers better hope it's not as bad as it looked. Bummer for them.

too bad for pau, he's having a great second half of the season. but it can't be that bad, sprained ankle that is. he'll miss 3 weeks max probably...

plus eliminating a gasol-less lakers isn't as sweet so i hope for his recovery *evil laugh*

P-OUCH!!

That really sucked...went down 3 minutes into the game. We hung with the hornets for most of the game, but by the fourth it was done because they couldn't guard that middle and were tired. Man, we are hurting at the bigs position. Bynum, Mihm and now Gasol.

Well, here comes a possible 0-4 roadie. The division is up for grabs.

Yikes.

Well I don't route for any player to get hurt, but the Suns really need to take advantage now and get back in first in the division. There schedule this month certainly looks like it may allow for that, I hope they can get on a nice roll.

Its way too congested in the west. 4.5 games separates the 1 and 8 seeds while in the east, 4.5 games separates the 1 and 2 seeds

So do i. The Spurs are stumbling a bit with a tougher stretch of games and the SUNS need to go 4-0/3-1 thru the next 4 games.

I don't like seeing injuries even if it does hamper a rival team (unless it happens to Bruce Bowen or Robert Horry, who frankly deserve it). With that said, it happened, and other teams have to take advantage of it.

The Lakers better hope that Gasol doesn't duplicate Okafor's bizarre year-long ankle sprain that he suffered a couple of years ago. I've never gotten over that.

New Orleans has some problems as well. Both Paul and West were injured in that game vs. the Lakers. With the Hornets, the Lakers and the Rockets all with MAJOR injury problems, things are wide open for Phoenix. You guys are lucky, you may have had some problems this year, but you have been healthy almost all year.

At this rate, the Suns might just end up being the only team healthy enough to make it to the finals. If things don't change, your only possible stumbling block could be the Spurs.

Both Paul and West came back to play in the game.

Sweet Jesus. I'm not envious of that road trip...

Mar 14 - NO
Mar 16 - Hou
Mar 18 - Dal
Mar 20 - Uta

It's the Lakers last real tough road swing though.

Crazy! No matter who wins those games it will be beneficial for the suns, of course it would help more if Lakers lost. I think they can beat Dallas, but Houston and Utah (28-3 @home) will be tough.

Hello 4 game losing streak. :(

Lakers are terrible without Gasol and Bynum. Kobe alone just won't be enough against those teams. This is really bad news for LA, but hey, good for everyone else right? :p

Drats! I was hoping the Lakers would put an end to the Rockets (smoke-and-mirrors) winning streak.
