Former ski jumping team event world champion Stephan Leyhe will end his career at the weekend's World Cup event in Finland.
His home club Willingen said in a statement on Thursday that his 240th start on Saturday will be his last.
Leyhe, 33, won team gold at the 2019 worlds and also has two silvers and bronze each from team events at the Olympics and ski flying world championships. He has one World Cup victory from the home event in Willingen in 2020, and was third in the 2019 Four Hills Tour.
"There have been many wonderful moments in my career that I will always remember fondly," Leyhe said.
Leyhe is the second German jumper to quit. Six-time world champion Markus Eisenbichler had said recently that the World Cup finals March 28-30 on the flying hill in Planica would be his last events.
