This movie was extremely funny! The theater in Florida at DT Disney was packed and rolling! We loved it.

I thought it was very entertaining, and from what I hear, 10 times the movie The Love Guru is.

Funny you should say that because we originally got in line to purchase Love Guru and they told us it had been cancelled to give more seats to Hancock. So we ended up seeing Get Smart - it was great!

Carrell's deadpan delivery just cracks me up. Agent 99 was ok - not as smooth and understated as the tv character. Actually, I don't remember them having a romantic relationship, did they?

Also something that reviewer said that I thought was interesting: they didn't make Maxwell Smart a complete bumbler like Don Adams played him. They said it took away from some of the charm of the film. Thoughts about that from those who've seen it?

True, but somehow I don't think it would've played well in a feature film. I still enjoyed it, though.

Saw this the other night and thought it was pretty good. I used to watch the show all the time on Nick at Nite and this movie was very simliar. It was very cheesy with alot of little subtle jokes. If you go in expecting anything other than that you will be dissapointed. But if you go in expecting a cheesy movie and are in a fun mood, you will enjoy the movie.

The show was great. The movie looks like a rental for me, especially after I heard an NPR review that said it had a hard time figuring out if it was a comedy or a spy flick...and it failed at both as a result.

Also something that reviewer said that I thought was interesting: they didn't make Maxwell Smart a complete bumbler like Don Adams played him. They said it took away from some of the charm of the film. Thoughts about that from those who've seen it?

I couldn't disagree more with the NPR review. It was obviously a comedy to me. Just because it had a little action doesn't make it a serious spy flick. I liked that they didn't make Smart a complete bumbler. It made him more of an underdog.

My only beef with the film is that they could have done without a few scenes. For example, I would have cut the dancing scene. That was a little too dumb and long.
