Remember the last time these two teams played and a Giant's receiver went down untouched and fumbled the ball? Cards recovered and it looked like that would seal a victory...

Then the officials ruled that, "The player gave himself up." It kept the drive alive and they won the game.

And then the Giants snuck into the playoffs with 1 win to spare and ended up winning the SB.

So at least that didn't happen again.

thus, Karma says the Cards win the SB this year

Yes the Giants did beat themselves. 5 dropped passes. 2 fumbles. Penalties at critical times.

But who cares? It's a blast watching other teams shoot themselves in the foot.

Good point.
I still maintain we need to improve )or be more consistent is what I should say) if we are going to beat the Hags and Whiners....TWICE!!! Yeah I said it lol

IMO the Cards were running on fumes til Ginn's PR saved the day. Yes we were fortunate to win & thank goodness we stole one unlike soooo many times before!!! Thank you Teddy:D

I hope SF beats themselves, Ray McDonald style, this week.

In case you didn't hear... Giants beat themselves.

Oooh, that was deep; so you have never, ever seriously played competitively.

When you lose, of course you beat yourself as you (the loser) did not do enough to win the game.

If you win the game, you did enough to end up with more points that the other team, including not beating yourself by mistakes and/or not executing.
