Good. I also heard the word "Grit" has been banned from the organization.

Let the healing begin.

This team was horrible this year. I didn't take one trip to the ball park, nor did I listen to them much on the radio (I'm too cheap to pay for cable/satellite, and they're never on regular TV anymore). Flat out horrible.

Still can't understand why they are keeping Towers in the organization. He is the major cause of ruining the franchise.

Maybe the plan is to lull Towers into a false sense of security, and then do absolutely nothing about it :D

I wonder if they will make a play for Phil Nevin, to keep him from Houston.

>> RT @BNightengale: The #Dbacks now have a complete new slate and Phil Nevin is an early strong candidate for the managerial opening

Tramel to manage/coach the final 3 games of the season, even though he is fired.

Wonder if Stewart still hasn't gotten over Gibson's home run in the 88 World Series. :D

Didn't take him long to make that decision at all.

What an organization.

Names to keep in mind for managerial search: Joe McEwing, Terry Steinbach, Jay Bell.

I picked the wrong year to become a season ticket holder. It has been really rough to say the least.

Usually when someone under contract gets demoted in an organization they get the hint and negotiate a buyout.

Maybe they're keeping Towers around so they know what not to do.

For example... at some point this offseason they're going to discuss 3B, do they need to look outside the organization? Do they wait and see what they have in the current crop? Towers will undoubtedly suggest signing Chase Headley to a 3 year, 36 million dollar deal.

And then they will know. Do anything but that.

This is going to be a complete restructure from top to bottom. Would be surprised if there less than 50% of current players are gone this offseason. I like the move of the Stewart signing. He will have a huge impact of getting us to be a great pitching team. The Dbacks are definitely making all the right moves, but wish Gibson had a better team to give him a chance. I completely understand the cleaning house move though.

The problem is the worthless over-the-hill players are signed thru next year and I doubt any team would make a trade for them. At least Towers is no longer in charge of trades and FA signings.

Stewart had already said that the only "untouchable" player is Goldy.
