95% of this board acted like he was the second coming when we signed the guy lol. He's always been trash. I'm relieved that he's gone but still struggle to comprehend why he was ever here.

I confess I thought he was a great signing. He did help us win a couple of games. One with the punt returrn against the Giants and another I remember him making a great catch that was huge in one of our victories.

But, yep he was a major bust.

I still think he was pretty good signing at that time. He did some good for us.

What I didn't expect was other then the TD, how bad he would be in the return game.

While that probably had a pretty good part in him being released, I do think that the emergence of John Brown made him redundant, with the money better served signing someone else.

In theory, it was a good signing. He brought the missing element of speed to the offense. John Brown took his spot and rendered him pretty much useless.

As for punt returns, I still think that's on the coaching staff. The same staff made PP an ineffective PR the year prior when he had previously been the biggest threat in the game. Both PP and Ginn were very good, among the best, punt returners until this ST coach took over. To me, that's not a coincidence.

I tend to agree with this. Is the ST coach still here?

I was a very vocal part of that 5% that blasted the signing. Most of the board blasted me for being negative, saying I didn't know what I was talking about. I do wish I was wrong, because that would mean he was great for us. Sadly, I was right. Good riddance!

This. The guy has never earned a paycheck. Just collects them.

I have not seen a guy look like he played scared in a long time. That's what it looked like every time he touched the ball. It bugged the hell out of me.

Not a big loss IMO.

I thought it was a decent signing but as the season wore on, the guy was just an enigma. He'd fair catch when no one as around him, he'd field a punt with 3 defenders around him, he'd run kickoffs out 9 yards deep, he'd kneel in the endzone on kickoffs 4 yards deep. I just couldn't figure the guy out.
