QB - Kurt Warner, Matt Leinart, John Navarre, Rohan Davey, Jeff Otis
"B" - Warner is still pretty good and Leinart has great potential (but as of right now, that's all he has).

RB - Edgerin James, JJ Arrington, Marcel Shipp, Damien Anderson, Roger Robinson
"A" - Pretty solid depth (JJ and Shipp may not be great starters, but they are pretty good backups, IMO) and obviously James is one of the best in the business.

FB - Obafemi Ayanbadejo, James Hodgins
"B" - Solid. Hodgins can give us the smashmouth blocking and Ayanbadejo give us versitility.

WR - Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Bryant Johnson, LeRon McCoy, Todd Watkins, Greg Lee, Zamir Cobb, Carlyle Holiday, Troy Walters
"A+" Boldin, Fitz, Walters and Johnson? Wow.

TE - Leonard Pope, Adam Bergen, Eric Edwards, John Bronson, Ben Hall, Andy Stokes
"C+" - If Pope is all he's cracked up to be, this grade will jump considerably.

T - Leonard Davis, Oliver Ross, Fred Wakefield, Alan Reuber, Dante Ellington
"C" - Big alone raises this group up, to an average grade.

C - Alex Stephanovich, Nick Leckey, Shawn Lynch, Kyle Schmitt
"D" - Hopefully these kids get better with a decent coach

G - Taitusi Lutui, Reggie Wells, Milford Brown, Elton Brown, Jeremy Bridges, Roland Cantu
"B-" - Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but I think our group of guards is pretty good.

DE - Bertrand Berry, Chike Okeafor, Calvin Pace, Antonio Smith, Anton Palepoi, Tyler King, AJ Schable
"A" - Really good starters and really good backups.

DT - Darnell Dockett, Kenny King, Kendrick Clancy, Gabe Watson, Jonathan Lewis, Tim Bulman, Langston Moore
"C+" If Watson turns out to be a player and not a pretender, this will be a much higher grade. Right now it's tough to grade them better then average because they haven't prven they can stop the run.

LB - Gerald Hayes, Brandon Johnson, Issac Keys, Lance Mithcell, James Darling, Darryl Blackstock, Karlos Dansby, Orlando Huff
"C" There's a lot of potential in this squad, too. But, aside from Dansby, no one has really stood out yet.

S - Adrian Wilson, Robert Griffith, Aaron Francisco, Ernest Shazor, Jack Brewer
"B" Griffith is better than folks give him credit for, IMO, and Wilson came into his own last year.

CB - Antrel Rolle, David Macklin, Eric Green, Dyshod Carter, Lamont Reid, Robert Tate
"C+" Gosh, I hope Green steps up to the plate this year. I like Macklin okay, but I think he's starting to lose a step. I love the way Rolle played last year--he's quick and very fluid.

K - Neil Rackers & Nick Novak
"A+" - Nick Novack really makes the difference. ;) All kidding aside, I'd see how much trade value Rackers has this next off-season because there's a kid coming out of Colorado in next year's draft that will probably be kicking 70-yard FGs this year. Trade Rackers while he's hot and get a young kid that will re-write the record books to take his place.

LS - Nathan Hodel
"B" - He's okay.

P - Scott Player
"B" - He's not the money punter he used to be, but he's still pretty good. He gets extra credit for the single-bar face mask.

Going through this exersize reminds me that we have a REALLY young team!

QB - Kurt Warner, Matt Leinart, John Navarre, Rohan Davey, Jeff Otis
B+, I think Kurt still has something in the tank for another year or two, and am extremely happy we got Leinart in the draft, but due to Kurt's injury history I'm not positive that Leinart might not get shoved into action to soon. If Kurt can make it at least thru the 1st 8-9 games then will move this to an A-.
Davis/Otis gone or on the practice squad

RB - Edgerin James, JJ Arrington, Marcel Shipp, Damien Anderson, Roger Robinson
A, Having an Edge makes all the difference, add that and I still am not ready to give up on JJ like alot of people.
Shipp, likely trade bait, fight between Anderson, Robinson and any other practice squad fodder for the 3/4 postions.

FB - Obafemi Ayanbadejo, James Hodgins
C+, Decent FB's but since they are rarely used in DG system kinda hard to give em a better grade
Do we keep 2 FB just in case one goes down with injuray again?

WR - Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Bryant Johnson, LeRon McCoy, Todd Watkins, Greg Lee, Zamir Cobb, Carlyle Holiday, Troy Walters
A+, Fitz and Boldin are one of the greatest WR tandems in the league right now, BJ, McCoy and Watkins should add some speed on the outside as long as 1 of em can do anythign to stretch the defense we will be rocking here.
Lee, Cobb, Holiday & Walters all competing for the last spot.

TE - Leonard Pope, Adam Bergen, Eric Edwards, John Bronson, Ben Hall, Andy Stokes
B, Love the pickup of Pope, gives us a big red zone target, Bergen and Edwards are both decent depth.
Bronson, Hall & Stokes all likely casualties

T - Leonard Davis, Oliver Ross, Fred Wakefield, Alan Reuber, Dante Ellington
D+, Davis needs to play to potential and I would have liked to have picked up a player in either FA or day one of the draft. Someone needs to step up big time on the right side.
Who's gonna step up and play, Davis & Ross are likely staying because of talent(Davis) and contract(Ross), everyone else is fighting for a spot, especially since some of the guards might be versital enough to move to Tackle (Wells & Lutui)

C - Alex Stephanovich, Nick Leckey, Shawn Lynch, Kyle Schmitt
C, assuming everyone stays healthy and we aren't playing our 5th string center we should be OK here
LYnch & Schmitt likely gone

G - Taitusi Lutui, Reggie Wells, Milford Brown, Elton Brown, Jeremy Bridges, Roland Cantu
B, With the addtions of Milford Brown and Lutui, the resigning of Wells and the 2nd year of Elton brown this should be well stocked now
Bridges and Cantu likely let go

DE - Bertrand Berry, Chike Okeafor, Calvin Pace, Antonio Smith, Anton Palepoi, Tyler King, AJ Schable
A, Berry & Okeafor are solid, and some rotational depth.
Pace last chance, showed some flashes if doesn't continue to progress I expect him to be gone, Smith/King fighting for last spot unless Pace is cut

DT - Darnell Dockett, Kenny King, Kendrick Clancy, Gabe Watson, Jonathan Lewis, Tim Bulman, Langston Moore
B+, Dockett will have a much better year with Clancey/Watson next to him. Lewis in the 6th was also a steal IMHO
Bulman & Moore are the likely cut candidates

LB - Gerald Hayes, Brandon Johnson, Issac Keys, Lance Mithcell, James Darling, Darryl Blackstock, Karlos Dansby, Orlando Huff
B-, Another area I wouldn't have minded grabing a 1st day player, but overall a decent crop. Dansby is a stud, Huff, Hayes, Darling all solid players but would like another Stud to go with Dansby
Is this the year Hayes is finally healthy, who steps up? Johnson likely to the practice squad unless he really shows something, then Mitchell, Blackstock, Keys all fighting for the last 2 spots at least 1 will be odd man out.

S - Adrian Wilson, Robert Griffith, Aaron Francisco, Ernest Shazor, Jack Brewer
C, Griffith is ok, but very old, if Shazor or Francisco are not seriously pushing him in the off-season package we needa player here.
Weakness of the team, all likely to be kept because Brewer is big special team player

CB - Antrel Rolle, David Macklin, Eric Green, Dyshod Carter, Lamont Reid, Robert Tate
C+, Rolle and Green should be the starters this year, we need more depth tho.
Carter, Reid and Tate all fighint for 1/2 spots.

K - Neil Rackers & Nick Novak
Rackers hopefully will not come close to setting any records except for most PAT's in a season, no matter what he is great tho.
Novak gone unless Rackers pulls another injury.

LS - Nathan Hodel
B, good long snapper, getting older might want to start grooming someone, or find a player who can do double duty and free a roster spot
as stated above could be let go if they can find another player to do double duty.

P - Scott Player
C, definitly getting old and is starting to out punt his coverage units by angling it to get greater distance but losing hang time, would like to get a punter next year at the latest.

The grades for G and C depends heavily on where Wells is going to play. I agree with the current grade for those positions, but I'm convinced Wells isn't going to play G this season. He has the footwork and technique to play both C and RT, but is too short to be ideally suited for OT, so I'm guessing he'll end up at C, where I'm predicting he'll turn into pro-bowl caliber player. He has the tools!

I disagree with your DT ranking. I think you underestimate just how good Clancy was for the Giants last season, and how good Dockett is when he's healthy with a NT playing next to him. Moore looked very good in his limited role last year. Then add a healthy King AND our two draft steals, then you have one of the better DT groups in the league. IMO at least a B grade.

What I really like about our roster is that we have young talented players at basicly every position, so these grades could be higher if those players develop.
