I can understand you being drawn to the long history and tradition of the Marlins. Maybe in the WS you will root for the Cubs (since they will win) although I am guessing you will root for the Yankees.

If you think life is miserable because of the Cardinal's think of what it's like for us "southsiders"! Nothing could be worse then to have the Sox fail as they did and then have to watch the Cubs advance as they have. I can only hope they'll come to their senses and choke. It is so bad around here with "Cub-mania" that people have begun to give me the finger (my liscense plate says "Sox Fan") on the expressway. At least I hope that's why they're doing it? The only good thing I can say about Wrigley Field is that it's so far away from my house.

A Marlins/Devil Rays Series, where one gets swept in a rout... That's something special in the making right there. I'll bet Vegas is already working on it for next year.

Who are these Sox you speak of? Is that another baseball team in Chicago? I thought it was standard practice to not have a minor league team in the same city with a pro team. Hmmmm.

I am guessing the salutes you are getting has little to do with your license plate.

Hey, I've been a hard core Marlins fan ever since the playoffs started. We're literally talking about several days here. So I don't want to hear any guff from the Cub faithful and there sob stories of "sacrifice."
You think it's easy wearing teal for god's sake??

That was brutal first the Giants blow the Marlins series and lose it on a guy being thrown out at home plate, then the A's blow the Redsox series and lose it on a guy taking 2 pitches right there and not swinging.

As long as the Yankees or Braves don't win(hate bought titles) I don't care who wins.

My great-grandfather played some sort of hockey hybrid in Russia.
My grandfather grew up a huge Husker fan in between harvests.
My dad, also a huge Husker fan, pretty much likes the DiamondBacks, but cut his teeth on the zone-and-one defense in high school basketball.
What's all this mean you ask...?

I've never been to Chicago, let alone Wrigley. Is that going to be a problem?
I do like hot dogs and beer though, and I watched the '85 Bears dismantle the Patriots, so I feel like I'm "ahead of the curve" so to speak.

I'm pulling for Cubs/Red Sox. Why? So one of them will lose the curse crutch. There will probably be a battle to see which one can screw it up best.

There are a lot of Cub fans out here. This year there are 10 times as many as usual. There's vintage Cub gear everywhere.

The yankees have never won in Arizona. Ever.
