Curt is pitching on guts. How many pitchers would pitch with the injury he has?

What was Francona thinking by bringing in Arroyo? Was he trying to save Timlin for game 7?

If they lose this game, he's going to get run out of Boston on a rail for this move.

Looks like the Umps are two for two on futher review. A-rod hit a weak grounder down the line. Arroyo picked up the ball in his hand and put it in his glove. When Arroyo tried to tag him, Alex swatted the pitcher's arm and the ball went out. Jeter scored and Alex is on second. Then, Francota got the umps together. The group ultimately ruled Alex out due to interference, and Jeter returned to 1st.

Here's my question. Shouldn't Jeter be on second? That ball was a weak grounder up the first base line. Derek should be at second. Maybe there's something in the rulebook that I don't understand.

What a cheater A-Rod is. Take off that purple lip gloss and play the game you douchebag.

totally agree - I still think Francona took Schill out one inning too early. down 2 runs in the 9th ain't nothing to the Yankees - at least it wasn't until we ended their run - intersting to see if this team of mercenaries has the character of the old Yankee dynsasty - with A-Rod play - so far - I'd say no - but these are the Red Sox . . .

Yep, especially when he is the only pitcher left on that team who hasn't been worn out after the blowout and back to back extra inning affairs. It's going to be interesting what Foulke is throwing in the 9th. Last night he was only throwing 86 mph fastballs. He still had his great change but the Yankees are smart enough to watch those go by tonight if he doesn't have the fastball.

Looks like the Yankee fans pulled a page out of the Browns and Saints playbooks. They threw dozens of baseball on two seperate called (on the swatgate and the forceout in the 9th). They now have police officers on the field!

Boy, it just isn't baseball without the riot police down the lines.

I am going to have a heart attack from this... :D

:raccoon:

Me too! And I'm only 17!

GO SOX!!!!

Curt Schilling: "I was touched by God".

Does this mean God is on the Sox's side?

And Schilling was exhausted after the 4th inning he said. Francona said they were even thinking of taking him out in the 5th.

Great managing, great officiating, and GREAT RED SOX!!!

Can you really say that? They have a LONG way to go to beat the curse.

Still a game tomorrow. And even if they win then, still the World Series. The Red Sox are not like the Cubs who'd be thrilled just to make the World Series. Equal to the agony the Yankees have caused them is the agony of their World Series losses.

A-FRAUD was called for interference, thus resulting in a non-play. Just an out.

Been a Red Sox fan ever since I can remember. Wade Boggs was my idol while growing up, broke my heart when he went to the Yankees in 1993.

Ditto

It only seems fitting though that this series goes to a 7th game. If the Yankees win it will further show prove how much that team is cursed and brings further heartbreak to Red Sox fans. If the Red Sox wins its one of the most dramatic comebacks (if not the most) in MLB history, thats one way to get rid of that "cursed" label especially against their greatest rival.

I just wanted both of the series to be good. Looks like I'm going to get my wish (come on Cardinals so that we can have game 7s in both series)

Ash - if the Sox win tomorrow - one - it will without a doubt be deemed the greatest comeback of all time . . . combining 0-3 - curse of the Bambino - andbeating Rivera twice . . . and then the world will end. Sox ain't winning tomorrow - they are just making this year's heartbreak that much more painful for every Bostonian.

I could record it, but there is no way I make it home without someone telling the score. Earplugs?

I'm not a religious person. I was kidding.

Yes, I do think they can do it! Though I've told myself this season after season. No matter what happens tomorrow night and beyond, the Sox have sure been entertaining in the playoffs the last 2 years!

I'm skipping my Philosophy of Mind class and TKD, no way I'm missing this game!!

GO RED SOX!!!!!
