stop saying "suns are the better team"

NO the suns aren't.

If they were, they won't be 0-3 series against the Spurs... the Spurs also had the better regular season record... also has the better record against the top teams.

Suns are just better suited to match up with the Spurs, they took care of it in the regular season, but yet to prove they are better than the Spurs in the playoffs....

I'm a suns fan and all, but its just ridiculous to keep saying the Suns are the better team... when they aren't.... especially against the Spurs.. reigning champs.

Suns win this series, then you can say they are better.....

Hey! Keep your intelligent opinions based on statistics and trends instead of blind homer bias to yourself!

Geez.

Ok Cheese I will play it your way, Duncan does NOT average 40 a game against us nether Parker or Ginobli 25+ each all in the same game. When those guys score over 90 between their big 3 yeah they had a GREAT game. Stat has only played the Spurs a couple of time being able to play PF correct? 3 games I believe and the 1st one was when we first got Shaq the last 2 he pretty much played like Sat. and I do think he was an idiot to charge himself right out of the game which was just one of his many mistakes, him playing some D would help as well. What I am saying is the Suns did not play thier best game could you agree with that? Shaq being in could hace stopped alot of the second chance scoring for them with Shaq getting some of those rebounds. Skinner just played stupid and horrible period. But us having our bigs Diaw, Stat, Shaq enabled them to drive the lane because we could not play aggresive D even if we wanted to, couldn't take the chance and they knew it. All I am saying is if we limit the foul trouble we can dominate them like we did for a good part of the game. I don't expect those three to get 90+ a game sorry just don't see it they put together a great game except for the 1qtr and sqeaked one out in double OT.

okay, you don't expect them to get 90+ every game but you expect Amare to get 33 a game? His last two games as a PF before the playoffs were just like the first two against the Spurs this year... unimpressive. Do you expect Nash to have 22 and 15? That seems to be above his norm and Barbs, Bell and Diaw to all play that well.

Nash can at least score 20+ most any night, I expect Shaq to have more than the 9 and 5 boards he had that alone takes some of their second chance points away. Stat should be pretty close to 30 a night yeah wish he could pull down about 12 boards too. Raja can play better even if its just on the defensive end. Gordon should get some of Barbs minutes if he can't produce better than he did. Which last 2 games are you referring to that Amare was unimpressive???

his play against the Spurs. Previous to Game 1, they had done a good job of a) getting him in foul trouble (which they did again) and b) holding him well under his averages all season (17.5 and 7 rebounds per).

I expect Shaq to be better, and Nash can score 20+ most nights, but not most nights against the Spurs.

I just saw a game where we FINALLY could get over the mental hump and really take it to the Spurs and steal away their breath and even (GASP!) take a series lead for once and we failed again. I don't care how or why it happened, but it happened and it just shook any confidence I had.

You dont get it nashman....

Suns are better now?

How?

Down 0-1... okay.. NOW?... thats result there... 0-1.

Regular season?
Yes sure... but doesnt matter NOW... does it... NOW... Suns are down 0-1 to the reigning champs... who happen to play there BEST in the playoffs.

Again, I will only say the Suns are better when the Suns progress to the next round..

But guess what... I'll use your logic + "IF"... Suns are 0-4 againts the Hornets... IF Hornets advances...

So... using your regular season logic... Hornets > Suns....

The playoffs doesnt rely on IFs or BUTs... win 16 games... then you can say the Suns are better than every one...

Now? NOW?... Suns are down 0-1.... hopefully TOMORROW... future...
HOPEFULLY... we all WISH....PRAY for... that Suns outplay the Spurs...

Again... Suns are the ones trying to prove that they are better than the Spurs... this season..

Apparently Nash was ill, maybe that's why he didn't take the last shot in regulation?

From ESPN:
He didn't say a word about it postgame, but a club insider divulged that Nash was essentially bedridden by the flu Friday, which explains why Nash seemed to lack his usual zip and animation even as he racked up a handsome 25 points and 13 assists. Nash scored 14 of those points in the two OTs, rallying from a rare miss at the line to drop a fallaway 3 of his own with 15.7 seconds to go in the second extra period.

Thats why everyone here is so bitter...

they listen to everyone say that the Suns are the best team... and thats why everyone gets so so angry, depress... frustrated when they fail... because everyone has this "Suns are no.1 mantra".

Lower your expectations.. the Suns are a good team, they play to their potential.. they CAN win against the Spurs, then Hornets then maybe Lakers... CAN is the word.. not WILL..

Everyone's expectations are literally driving themselves nuts..

I believe the Suns can do it.. they CAN.... thats my expectations... not they WILL.. because again.... thats why most here are so dissapointed and just so bitter.... just hope they play well...

We're down 0-1 thats your explanation of the Spurs being a better team. Ok thats just stupid considering we smacked them a few different times this season but whatever. So by your logic since we lost one double OT game on the road by 2 points the Spurs are the better team. . . . Oh and yeah I would be somewhat nervous to play the Hornets who we didn't beat all season, but I think when we get past the Spurs the Hornets if they win will not be an obstacle that will stop us. I firmly beleive whomever wins this Suns - Spurs series will be going to the finals.

Poor thing, you must have a short term memory. Go back and read his other posts responding to you in this very same thread. He listed many, many reasons why the Suns have not proven themselves to be the better team, with only the most recent loss adding to that list.

Piss off Cicart mind your own business or read the whole thread before you start telling me anything. You obviously don't know how to read or you would know I have already said the past is the past not the same Suns team so previous year are irrelevant at this point. What have the Spurs done this year that makes them a better team.
