You really have to wonder how long they have been after Shaq. Is this an all of a sudden thing or maybe talks have been going on for some time? It seems to be happening way to fast I think maybe this has been going on for sometime.

That picture is Amare with Shaqs head on his body I am 99% sure but I am too lazy to compare the tats on the arms.

seriously, just the most ridiculous thing ever to happen to the Suns franchise... and without a doubt the biggest risk in the history of the team and even though I think it's going to be a disaster of biblical proportions, I am just loving every second of this. At least there's a reason to watch this team again, if only out of morbid curiosity!

yup... as bizarre as bizarre gets. I didn't think anything short of a Finals run would get me back to this board, but this is just too ridiculous not to share in with y'all.

Hmm, I wonder if I can remove "Stoudemire" from my # 32 jersey and get "O'Neal" onto it...hmmm....

I don't think it will be a disaster, but it for sure could end up being one. But like you said, there is a reason to watch this team now. Its no longer just hope that things work out and we catch some breaks....we are trying to make something happen and go out and get a title.

I'm with you Cheese, right down to the 'of biblical proportions.'

Dying to know what Steve Nash thinks - really - about this. It will have another interesting potential sidebar, and that is regarding Amare's ego.

Amare's ego?
Amare is idolizing Shaq they hosted a party together at past allstar games and stuff like that.

Amare just on ktar "great trade, feels great to move back to his natural position" etc

Kerr on the program in 15min

Amare LOVES Shaq... idolizes him. If anything, I think we're going to see Amare playing out his mind to try and get the big guy a ring. I also think Nash knew this team didn't have it... jesus, I don't know what to think.

when the hell is the big prune juice salesmen gonna actually play? There's no word on that yet, right? I hope it's soon. We start a stretch of 6 straight game son national TV starting Sunday and I want to soak in every second of this ridiculousness.

Of course all the players will tow the company line - 'great addition' 'he will help us' yada, yada, yada. We will never know what they really think.

At least there is legitimate hope for the Suns to win a Championship this season having added a legitimate center. Whether this hope is realized is another question.

I would buy a Shaq jersey if they changed the current design. It looks like a woman's jersey. I have a Marion and Amare jersey but I never sport them. I just hang them up on my wall.

The best jersey we ever had was the Black Alts in the mid 90s. Bring those back!
