Not really for a starting RB. The 52nd pick for a guy who plays 50%+ of snaps isn't bad. Especially when it's on a rookie deal. It would be the same for an ILB or S. Maybe not ideal but when you cap and 1st round picks are going to your defensive front, one DB, OTs, WRs and QB...you can get away with it.Akers was a 2nd round pick, right? So that’s a relatively expensive resource.
