Blockbuster just shipped this out to me. It's currently ranked #2 on IMDB's bottom 100 list. Adam Sandler's first movie. Hopefully nobody else has actually seen this one.

Amazon:
Plot Summary

Genres: Comedy
Tagline: The love boat was never quite like this.
Plot Outline A struggling young comedian takes a menial job on a cruise ship where he hopes for his big chance to make it in the world of cruise ship comedy.

With your recent string of awful movies, I'm expecting to see a post about you killing yourself pretty soon, Bada. I mean, you actually had GOING OVERBOARD on your list from Blockbuster? Sounds like you are moving swiftly towards having nothing but straight-to-DVD releases being shipped to you.

:biglaugh: I have been working my way down the IMDB top 250 list for a while now, I've seen the top 60 or so now. I thought I would also start on the bottom 100. While browsing around IMDB I have stumbled upon this movie several times, so I thought I would just go ahead and watch it.

I have an extremely high tolerance for crap like this. I can watch just about anything once.

However, I just can’t bring myself to watch regular TV anymore. I’ll watch sports and sportscenter, and anything on HBO or the History Channel, but I haven’t really watched regular TV in years.

Now that's tragic. Lost and 24 are like 23 hour movies over a whole season.

I’ve been thinking about it. Especially 24 and X-Files. I gave up on TV because they kept canceling shows so quickly. And then the whole “reality tv” thing started, which I have zero interest in.

Now that I have a blockbuster subscription, I’ll probably start a marathon of one of these soon. First I plan on watching Rome. I watched the first few, but then my DVR decided to erase a few, so I quit watching it.

A friend is bringing me his The Office DVD’s this weekend, so I’m watching those first. I’ve seen a couple of them and they are hilarious. I want to catch up on the first 2 seasons before the 3rd season begins.

If you had to pick between 24, Lost, or X-Files, which would you pick? They all look very interesting to me.

Well, X-Files would probably be #1, with Lost #2 and 24 #3, but they are all extremely close together. And don't get me going about Deadwood and Carnivale...

Deadwood and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are some of the greatest TV ever.

This coming from a guy that still loves Simpsons, Seinfeld and the A-Team.

I just watched it. It definitely deserves its 1.9 rating over at IMDB. I hesitate to even call this a “movie”. A 90 minute train-wreck would be a more accurate term. I like Adam Sandler, so I’m glad he was able to launch his career doing Saturday Night Live a few years after this.

I also have a pretty high tolerance for crap in movies, but this one was God awful. One of the worse movies I have ever seen in my life. I paid $1.99 for it, and I still feel ripped off.

I forgot to mention that IMDB lists Fight Club under their recommendations for people that liked Going Overboard.

Talk about a formula in need of an adjustment.
