Chad Ford reported on July 27ths Insider that Golden State had 3.5M trade exception that expires on Aug 18th. If Golden State is going to trade Dampier for expiring contracts it may be tommorrow.
Reportedly Charlotte may get involved so that Dallas can acquire Dampier and take Laettner and Stackhouse (both local college players who may entice people into the stands). It may also be a reason why they traded Drobnjak.
