"I just have to wait my time, and they (coaches) know when I'm ready," Wells said. "I definitely think I'm ready. They don't think so, I guess. I don't know."

You know, I'm really starting to get angry at Whis. We MUST commit to having a running game to have success like we did in the playoffs. He knows this, and yet continues to ignore the run game. Now even the players are starting to scratch their heads. And before I get the reply of 'But Whis has already acknowledged it and is committed to fixing it', I say BALONEY. We've heard him give lip service time and time again. He said it LAST week, and he had the perfect chance to do it, and he whiffed. So, don't SAY it, Whis; DO it.

This is from espn's fantasy football breaking new: "
Hightower's platoon mate Chris Wells received more playing time in three-receiver sets during this week's practices, the Arizona Republic reports.
Spin:
When the Cardinals line up with three receivers, they only use one running back and that player is responsible for picking up a blitzer. Hightower is better at that technique than Wells, and that is why Hightower has received much more playing time than Wells on passing downs this season. Hightower has 25 receptions to Wells' zero. Wells, however, may be starting to cut into Hightower's playing time on passing downs and he is already outperforming Hightower on running downs, 4.1 YPC to 3.3. This is part of a general trend towards expanded playing time for Wells, who is being brought along slowly after missing most of Arizona's spring and summer workouts."

I think we are going to start seeing more of Beanie. I agree the lack of a full training camp and the fumbles set him back a few weeks.

This would be a great week for it to happen for Beanie. Possible bad weather game so less passes would be nice. On the road, difficult place to hear audibles so much better to be able to run the ball and not have to throw 40 times. The downside of course is wet ball for a RB who's had some fumble issues but this would be a great week for us to show we can and will run the ball.

We are not going to commit to any part of a running game until #13 is gone and those are the facts!!!

Runningbacks need to run with reckless abandon and without hesitation. This is a fantastic way to mess with his confidence and head.

Let the kid run.

I think Beanie will get more carries this week. I have been pissed at Beanie not getting more playing time but I think I understand Whiz's concerns that he has not had a lot of practice time. Whiz did bring in DRC slowly when he felt he was ready. I'm hoping same is going to happen. I think Beanie's role is gradually going to increase unless of course we get behind quickly and have to ditch the running game altogether in certain games like Colts. That is just going to push it further out.

In the second half, down 21-0, Houston still ran 11 rushing plays to our 2.

Hey it was'nt Beanie's fault he was unable to attend all of the OTA's this offseason.Nor was it his fault he did'nt sign his contract till after a couple practices.Nor was it his fault he got rolled up in his VERY FIRST NFL practice and missed a ton of reps and learning time while his ankle healed.

When he finally got in just a rushed couple weeks of practice when his ankle still was'nt healed he finally got a td in a preseason game followed by another. Both running off of right tackle with Reggie Wells pulling for him.Just the basic power play.

Then Beanie since missing all of the pass offense being put in and not being a pass catching RB to begin with he was unable to play in our very high octance pass offense that needs RB's to know protections and also BE ABLE to pass block for said future HOF quarterback.

Now after that Beanie gets his BIG shot and lays the ball on the ground ****2**** times in one game...Coach Whiz won't put up with it and it put him even futher behind this time in the Coach's eyes of his Confidence in the rookie.

Last week the kid was gonna have a coming out party but the defense dictated what Warner was "Supposed" to call as Whiz said in a couple pressers or he would have gotten yelled at,as Whiz said.

SO THIS IS THE WEEK Beanie gets his number called with no other options but a run play to hopefully and properly mix and get a balance as we can still move the ball down the field and score touchdowns and not have long 3rd downs.

I hope Beanie is ready for Aaron Curry tomorrow as he will be looking for his fellow rookie. If Beanie can make him miss he'll have done an awesome job.I just want Beanie to learn how to catch so we can screen the kid a few times a game.

Has nothing at all to do with Warner. If no other option but a run is called Warner would NEVER change the play or he'd lose his job.Its starting to sound silly.

If Warner can start 16 games in a row this season we have a very good chance to go back to the Superbowl. He's 3-0 in that category. Or 100%.Lets give it a shot.:D

Yep...and it's playing the demise of our season if we don't have a semblence of a running game ;)

Seem to recall hearing all that same stuff being said last year as well and we turned out alright.

Which happened after we made a more focused effort in the running game.

Correct. However proves though that not necessarily being so committed to it so early will lead to our demise.

Correct. However we had Edge's experienced shoulders to lean on. Now, unless Wells gets some reps, expecting him and TH to suddenly get the run game going towards the tail end of the season is probably asking for too much.

Beanie has more talent for running the ball right now than edge could ever possibly even hope for. Yes even Edge of last year. It doesnt take experience to run the ball. Either a RB has it or he doesnt.

Probably not, but he needs experience with all other aspects of the RB which has kept him off the field so far... You can have all the talent in the world it won't do you any good warming the bench. That is not going to change by flipping a switch. With Edge, at least you knew what you would get. He was very good blocking, picking up blitzes, running out of the back field...

Maybe is he looks at how many times he fumbles, he would have an idea as to why he doesn't play so much.
