Some on here already know but I'm finally able to let the rest of you know that my 18 year old son, a hard core Cardinals fan, was killed in an auto accident Thanksgiving on his way back to school. He was the anti Duckjake jinx and could get the Cards to score just by walking in the room where I was watching the game. I'll miss him forever. Sorry that the 2nd pic is crooked. Don't know how to change it. The last thing we did together was watch the Cards-Rams game. Note: His mother's never seen the photo on the left. But its my favorite of him. Taken at Derm's tailgate at UPhx Stadium.

I am really lost for words Duckjake. There are none. My heart goes out to you. My wife of 56 years developed dementia one year ago. It is like she disappeared from my life. I hope you and your wife can find some peace somehow.

I maybe new to this site but certainly not to Fatherhood having two grown kids of my own. My sincere condolences go out to you and your family.

I am so so saddened to hear this awful news... The worst loss possible, to lose a child before their time.

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family and my prayers for the healing of your spirits.

May the road rise up to greet you;
May the wind be always at your back,
And may the rains fall gently upon your fields.
Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hands.

THIS ONE IS FOR YOU KOC. TIM WE DID IT.
This is such tragic news, we complain about football, traffic, bills, jobs, etc but none of that is important when a tragedy like this happens. it really puts life in perspective. DJ im so sorry for your loss, no parent should ever bury their child. My prayers go out to you and your family.

I hear you. But I have made so many friends here that I had to let everyone know. Jersey and Linderbee and Shane and DDogg and Pariah and Red Force One and Mad Card Disease and Section 11 and Jf 08 and 40 year and Cheesebeef and O and Kooter and King of Cards and the 4 musketeers, Jstadvl, AzCards21, Derm and myself and Card Logic and my good friend Rats and more. A special place ASFN.

Please don't misunderstand what I meant. One of the great things about ASFN is how much of a family culture it has created. I was very moved about your loss so had to comment even though that's something I typically don't do. Good first step in my own healing process.

So sorry to hear this, my condolences to you and your family. We lost our daughter 2 days before the Cards Superbowl appearance. It doesn't get any easier as time goes by. Well keep you in our prayers.

These things should not happen to good people. Hell, they shouldn't happen to anybody. My heart breaks for you and your family, DJ. You and yours will continue to be in my prayers.

Just got back from vacation and was skimming the threads for news...wasn't expecting this. Oh, man...I can't imagine. Tears are just flowing for you right now. I'm so sorry. Much love you to you & your family.

You know we're here for you if you need anything at all, looking forward to playing golf soon.

Memories - The first time I met Ryan was when you secured a suite one game years ago at SDS. We had a blast that day, I'll never forget the look on his face when the cheerleaders came and paid us a visit:)
