Grimm watched the Super Bowl halftime show! He was less engaged in the game than I was, since I couldn't sit still and walked around the stadium a few times before the second half started.

Grimm watched the freaking Boss sing instead of imparting his fantastically amazing coaching nuggets of wisdom to his guys playing in ohidon'tknow the most important game of their lives.

That douche shouldn't have ANY of the Super Bowl shine on his ass.

No way he should still be on the coaching staff, and NOT because he watched the halftime show (though that doesn't hurt).

I'm just wondering... I can't remember exactly when it was, but I saw Fitz going off yelling into the face of one of the coaches. Anyone know who the coach was or what was going on?

I agree. Phoenix is just too fine a winter destination and now that the Cards no longer play in a Broiler, for every Cardinal fan who drops out a visiting fan will want to take their place and the scalpers and vacation consolidators will snap up the released season tickets.

:(

AZ was a great destination even when they played in SDS. Hate that we have so many home games in November and December. Who the hell decides that? You suck, NFL!

There won't be blackouts. Too many scalpers and true fans. I will NEVER give up my tickets. This team could go 0-fer and I would still be there. Spent too many years in the corner at the bar watching this team by myself to quit going to games.
That's awesome. Some of the players on the team need to learn a lesson in dedication from their fans. Keep screaming on Sunday, JG.

That was my last straw with Grimm, as well. I gave him a pass on the O-line play due to a lack of talent before then, but an assistant head coach watching the halftime show of the Super Bowl is enraging. What does that guy have to do to get canned?

It's the team.

Long timers will remember Mean Joe Greene, another HOF player who used to ride around in a golf cart.

Always will. Took some abuse back in Jersey for rooting for this team til the regulars at the bar saw I was hard core. They started asking me about Cards game stats after a while since they were tracking their fantasy teams.

Grimm won't be canned til Whiz is. Sad, but true.

One of my favorite shows of all time. Taking a kayak tour next weekend in Cali to see where they filmed the show Can't wait! :)

Is the tour for 3 hours?

Sure but SDS wasn't. Now the visitors get to luxuriate in our $400 million dollar palace instead of roasting in a run down college stadium.

That will make the trek to the AZ for a game even more attractive.

True, but Tempe>Glendale.

Regardless. If I am Michael Bidwill, I start bitching about this schedule three months ago.

Not to someone from Cleveland. They stay at a brand new hotel near the stadium. Party at Westgate. Go to the game at the palace. Watch their team win and go home on Monday talking about how great Arizona is.

"The system works."

It does work. The system didn't fumble on the last drive in Washington. The system didn't fail to convert 3rd and short several times in Seattle as well as throwing a pick to end the game. The system didn't fail to understand the coverage schemes and allows open passes down the field today. Nor did it fail to convert on 4th and short at the end.

Players need to be accountable on this team. I can't count how many times that the Fox crew commented that Cardinals defenders where in position to make plays but lost the one on one battle in the passing game. Our players need to be held accountable when they fail to make those plays. One on one is as fair a matchup as you can ask for in the NFL. It is on you if you fail top make the play.

Eh. We'll see what happens to West Gate. They need a buyer, I believe.

All I know is most of the stuff from AZ hosting the Super Bowl happened in Scottsdale (outside the NFL experience).

They should have built that in Mesa. Very bad decision.

I'm all for making the players accountable, but if you want to sit/cut a defensive player, who in the hell do you replace them with? There's no one on the roster to do it or they would be in the game already. Not much on the waver wire these days

To steal a line from the movie Aliens..... 'what are we supposed to use, harsh language?

So the tourists stay in Scottsdale or Tempe and of course they don't care if Westgate is financially sound only that the bars are open. The stadium being in Glendale to me isn't a deterrent at all.

This is why head coaches get paid so much in my opinion. I don't know an alternative way to hold players accountable other than benching them. As far as that goes, is it worth doing when you obviously hurt your team doing so? I would like to think that the players would hold each other accountable but we lack the leadership on this team for that to happen.

Porter out/Schofield in. That's easy.

Levi/for anyone out on the street.

There's 2 for you.

Schofield doesn't know the system. In fact, it is so bad that the coach had to give him a wrist band so he could learn it better. Porter is starting due more to Schofield than due to the coaches. If Max Hall coudl get after the QB, they would put him in there at this point.
