What if Carolina gets the #1 pick again next season?

People are going to overlook the change in our defense. When you get talented players in later rounds the prognosticators tend to underrate your prospects for the coming season.

This group has the potential to be the best Defense the Cards have had since 1994 and stay that way for several years.

The critical factor is that Coach McGinnishunt has to find a way to get rid of the give up mentality of the Cardinal football team. It is a decades long tradition passed on from one generation of players to another in the locker room. Something goes wrong or the game isn't that important and the team just craters. That has to stop.

That is why Mitch was so dead on with his take on being Cardinal Tough.

They also tend to coast when they get a big lead, which is just as bad IMHO

I agree with you Duck. I was going over the defensive roster last night and If we can get any kind of production out of the combo of Schofield, Davis, Acho along with a resurgence of Campbell we will be at least a middle of the road defense with our backfield now. What I like about Sturdivant was that he appears long and able to run. So if he can cover TE's and be ok in the run game this team will be alright.

I know that is asking alot but I don't think we need superhuman efforts from these guys, there is enough talent here for a balanced contribution.

I don't know Clif. From the combine video Q2 looks like a prototypical SILB. Stout build and strong.
