He should have never been put in that situation. Go with the guys that got you there in critical times of the game.

Never have been a Smith fan. Has done nothing in game time. Would drop him.

The problem has always been that Smith plays on special teams and Williams doesn't... from a pure RB perspective, I'd definitely like to see R-Will over Smith at this point.
Williams is still hurt. When he is healed, we'll see him.
All notes from the ORG have said hes fine and practicing fully
Cardsfanmd is friends with Arian's brother in law. I know that because I've met his family. William's knee still isn't right. Arian's went to HS in York, PA. His wife's family still resides here in York. Williams not playing ST's is coachspeak more than anything else.
Ya, if this friendship-based injury report is true....It looked good in game 4 of the preseason
Wasnt his knee fixed 2 years ago? if it still hasnt healed it may never do so.

BA said that Smith is the best pass protector, which is why he plays in the 2 minute offense, which makes sense and also means that once that role is filed by Taylor, he becomes expendable. Taylor actually looked faster off the line on his two plays - he is coming along nicely.
how ironic is that then. We have him in for pass pro, we run the ball, and he fumbles.
Exactly. The top 3 guys are all we need. Ellington is the breakaway threat and the 3rd rounder. Mendenhall is the steady guy, and Taylor is the few carries here and there guy.
Mendenhall had several really tough runs there where he got yards that weren't there. Taylor did it on 2 runs, one of them literally he turned a 1 yard loss into a 3 + yard gain. Ellington is playing lights out. There is simply no need or no room for Smith unless someone gets hurt during a game which wasn't the case yesterday.
