I think their is no way that we draft a receiver at the #3 pick...but they just mentioned something I forgot: larry fitzgerald's father is like a beat writer for the Vikings and Fitzgerald grew up hanging around at the Vikings practices,, locker room, etc.....

if dennis knows him well and thinks he is the best athlete...you never know.

If BJ keeps developing along with Quan and we throw in Fitzgerald, Tony Sacca could come out of retirement and throw for 400 yards a game.

That would not be out of line for Green. He drafted Culpepper in the 1st round when the Vikings were already solid at QB.

I think he drafts "best available" regardless of need.

Manning would have to be gone. And, Ben R. gone, or maybe the Cardinals scared off by something relating to Ben R. during the next three months. In that case, you have to get the best player or trade down. WR or no.

Good point he did spend his youth playing catch with Carter and Moss. He's not really a speed guy which I think is a need. I get the impression unless Ben and Eli are both gone, we're taking a QB, remember Green took Culpepper when he had big needs on defense, everyone(including me) thought he was nuts especially when he never played as a rookie, but he clearly has proven to be right with that choice. IN fact it's too bad in hindsight that Culpepper had a great year, if he'd had another bad one we might have been able to convince the Vikings to trade him but no way now.

What I like is that in Minnesota Green showed 2 things, he recognizes the value of a QB, and he can win with different QB's. No matter what he's not coming into this situation with a clear cut answer at QB it's either a stopgap like Blake or another veteran, or a young guy like Josh, Eli or Ben.
