Interesting that Whiz said exactly where he was on the board. #7 overall, and the second receiver. Sounds pretty truthful, no reason not to believe that. I'm guessing that means it was Luck, RGIII, Kalil, Claiborne, Blackmon, and Richardson - not necessarily in that order.

Yup I found it interesting too. They had Blackmon rated higher.

You would be wrong. Whiz stated in video they had Floyd rated #7 being there 2nd rated WR.

Great interview. Yeah, even though I didn't want the Floyd pick, it'd be pretty silly to say that Fitz is our GM now.

I do appreciate that even CKW admits that this will be Skelton's first offseason for OTAs and the like. Our coach knows that Skelton hasn't been given the practice and developmental time yet, so hopefully the board at large can all realize it too.

Really? I thought it was the usual Wiz fluff piece. Honestly, his sound bites area a bore. No real info to sink my teeth into.

I think the reason for the fluff was that the interviewer didn't feed him interesting questions.

To me, the story lede sould have been: "Cards get their receiver but use later picks to help the offensive line.

Zero mention was made by the NFLN folk of Massie, Kelemete or Potter (which I felt was the big story of the Cardinal draft).

I dont know if anyone else read this article but azcardinals.com last week ran this piece on how player grades are presented on the Cardinals draft cards. As an example Steve Keim showed the draft card for Patrick Peterson and explained what each element of the card represented.

I thought the video was insightful. It's good to have the national sports media like your pick, because you get positive coverage. Not that I need positive coverage to be happy, it's just nice to get Cardinal news from the Networks.

Besides the height/weight/speed are colored dots. One red dot is a medical risk. Two red dots mean the Cards will stay away because of medical concerns. Three mean a failed physical. A green dot means a positive test for a banned substance at the Combine. Blue means a verified arrest. Yellow is a character concern. “Sometimes a guy looks like a Christmas tree,” Keim said.

I think it's an article that gives all us draftniks a little insight into the preparation for and operation of the draft war room. For example I found this quote regarding the construction of the 120 board quite interesting.

The “120” board, built to take the guesswork out of the actual draft day, sorts out the parts that can’t easily be listed as a number or letter on such a small card. It’s not as simple as putting the players in descending grade order. Instead, the grade is just the biggest factor in an equation that includes football character, the Cards’ scheme and yes, roster need.

This seems to indicate that there is a separate process for grading a player and a separate process rating that player against his peers (ranking on the 120 board) each of which uses different factors.

I think it's pretty embarrassing he has to "set the record straight" in the first place.

Doesn't lay anything to rest IMO... Him talking about it gives it more credence if anything.
