Not a good look to take to Twitter for something like that. Karma will catch up to him and he’ll be signing a lifetime contract with the Browns.

Man it sucks what happened to him.

+1.

Brown was a player that could have been a great one, and a huge part of the Cardinals going forward.

Ridiculous what happened to this roster over a two year period.

What could have been with a health Palmer, John Brown, Tyrann Mathieu, and a competent Daryl Washington, and Michael Floyd.

Just a shame.

I wonder if Steve Wilks will reach out to John Brown. There could be a good bond in the making there.

Probably he knows the organization decided to move on
Can't blame, he was a no factor in the last 2 years

From what I have heard on the AZ sports radio, there are some hard feelings between the organization and John Brown.

I like John Brown, but I think he is off base with being upset. Most teams would have cut him WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before he got to the end of the contract.

This is the NFL, not a charity case.

I like the guy's play when he was healthy, but talking as strictly a sports fan? I do not want John Brown ANYWHERE near the new regime.

Hope he gets healthy, and has success, but the Cardinals have to move on. Wide Receiver is a very important position this year, and roster spots for the position are at an absolute premium.

yeah there has been animosity with JB for a while. But we as a franchise cannot afford to gamble on him for another season... he needs to go and we need to draft a WR in the first three rounds who can play this year.

To play for the Cards? I doubt it. We're probably going to see players that have had health issues the past couple of years start getting cut. Which, outside of Fitz, is probably the entire WR group and some on the Oline.

He is good for 4-6 games a season. He is unavailable for the other games. Best of luck.

one gets the sense there is more to the John Brown thing than just the sickle cell trait

i dont mean something nefarious --

he seemed to catch the same thing as Andre Ellington: a severe aversion to contact

it all started after a concussion in the first few days of the 2016 training camp --- and he never was the same after that

I suspect the hard feelings came from a training staff telling the coaches in 2017 that there was nothing wrong that they could see with John Brown, but Brown saying he was hurt and couldnt practice / play

didnt he have a syst or something removed from his spine? or was that someone else?

I agree with ya on the animosity though...effort... JB was supposed to be one of the fastest dudes in the NFL... but somehow he couldnt manage to get behind the defense, corners were sticking to him like glue... nobody needs a 5'2 WR that cant get open

he did have the cyst removed, and that was supposed to fix everything. It seemed to be true when they were running in shorts and helmets in the offseason. But then the pads went on and..........

aside from a glimpse of the old Smoke in the preseason game vs Atlanta ---- it was 2016 all over again

Sad to see him go. If it wasn’t for his disease he would’ve been all-Pro.
