The DV advisory group is four white women? How sensitive!
That argument makes no sense in a league that is 67% black and 100% male. You could make the argument that if he picked black women, that they would be biased. So maybe he's not the one, out of touch.

While I may disagree with how Goodell is handling some of these recent issues from a PR or procedural standpoint, my blame is with the individuals. That is where my focus is. Crisis situations with legal and union considerations are very difficult situations to handle.
Ray Rice. Adrian Peterson. Greg Hardy. Ray McDonald. Jonathan Dwyer. Daryl Washington. These are the people to focus blame upon, and are the individuals who have failed.
So, when hiring people, the color of their skin shows how in touch with you they are?
Gotcha.

We live in a country where who you are as an individual matters not. The only thing that matters is what group dynamic you belong to. Why shouldn't the NFL reflect that?

This isn't a jury. It is an advisory group.
One of the women is already an employee whose job is being expanded to include social responsibility. -- Anna Isaacson, currently the Vice President of Community Affairs and Philanthropy, will take on a new and expanded role as Vice President of Social Responsibility.
The other three sound very qualified.
Lisa Friel was the head of the Sex Crimes Prosecution Unit in the New York County District Attorney's Office for more than a decade, where she investigated and prosecuted cases of sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, human trafficking, and other similar forms of misconduct.
Jane Randel is the co-founder of NO MORE, a national initiative to raise the profile of and normalize the conversation about domestic violence and sexual assault.
Rita Smith is the former executive director of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
No one ever said anyone in the group is not "qualified". I guess you don't understand the purpose of diversity in an advisory group.

Here is what I would say in regards to this arguement. Is it more important to get the advisory board in place as quickly as possible during this firestorm? Or, is it more important to get the perfect mix of people? IMO, it is most important to get this advisory board in place as quickly as possible, AFTER WHICH we can then look at tweeking it to get the ideal mix.
So, I consider an advisory group comprised of women as the win. My hope is that the NFL continues to look at it, and mold it to get the desired composition.
I'm offended at the lack of tall people in the group. We're underrepresented and won't stand for it.
Just read an article about Goodell's statement today. Bunch of lip service IMO but during his statement he was interrupted by a protestor and when cops dragged him off he screamed, "Don't take me to the elevator!!!"
